Delicious breakfast with an amazing vibe. Staff were friendly and food came out really quick! We came early on a Sunday. Only hiccup was that the coffee and tea were a bit watery.

A really great place to play chess on Tuesday evenings in a fun social environment! It does get very busy so you need to arrive early or bide your time to get a table. The atmosphere is really fun and everyone is super friendly, it’s quite casual and there are a variety of levels of players from beginners to experts.

Super yummy breakfast here! We had Plate 2 and Plate 3. Poached eggs, bubble and squeak total winners. Proper strong tea. Lovely space to sit. Great service. Fab location

Great breakfast cafΓ©! The hash browns were absolutely delicious, and the menu had loads of choice, which was a nice surprise. Prices were really reasonable, and the staff were super friendly too. Everything came out really quickly – within a few minutes, which was perfect. Loved the chilled, friendly vibe of the place. Would definitely come back!

It was one of the best experiences in London. Their coffee was one of the best I've tried, a real cappuccino. I'm still thinking about the sandwiches. The service was excellent. Amazing! Well done!!!

I visited the cafe on a weekday morning. It’s a large, bright, and open space with an industrial aesthetic, an upstairs and outdoor seating as well. The pastries looked beautiful and the sandwiches appetizing. There’s a wide selection of cold drinks on display as well as coffees. My breakfast sandwich was prepared quickly and the service was good if a bit lacklustre at the register.

We have walked passed Cafe 1001 many times when we go for our Sunday stroll through Bethnal Green road to Brick Lane on the way to Spitalfields Market, but we never went in until today. We just wanted to sit down to take a break and discovered it was a perfect place for that. It was about 2:30 pm and Brick Lane was pretty busy with people buying street food and eating on the street. We thought Cafe 1001 was a bar as there was a DJ playing and a bit dark inside, so we asked if it was ok to sit outside, but it was a real cafe selling coffee and stuff. There was upstairs and it was really nice. Tables were wobbly, so we sat by the window looking down Brick Lane. To our surprise, it wasn’t busy at all inside. We felt lucky to find a great spot to rest. I love the sign for women’s toilets, and they were clean. I have a thing for toilets. I cannot do dirty toilets. By the time we left, it was getting busy. I think we were lucky to be there at right time. We will definitely go back! The music was good today.
