We normally pop in for a coffee after Parkrun. They're very friendly and efficient and have a nice snacky menu. Good outside tables for the summer and cosy space with nice mural inside. Very dog-friendly with dog ice-cream & sausages (which makes sense in a park). Hope they continue to thrive
This is a regular spot after our dog walks, particularly in the summer. The staff are the friendliest people I’ve potentially ever met, they give out gravy bones to our pup and are super kind. The coffee is amazing, the food is okay for a light bite (the panini’s are a go to!). I have come across a lot of school children who are just plain rude here which is no fault of the staff or the establishment but just be wary! Lots of seating outside and water bowls for the pups. My boy won’t drink out of a water bowl there for some reason (big old drama Queen) so the staff brought him out his own separate bowl on a particularly hot day without us asking which was lovely. I visited Lloyd Park cafe with my two children today Sunday 14th September 2025. We were not greeted by the staff on entry. We chose a table to sit and went to order. I asked if they have decaf coffee and was told they do but they have already cleaned the coffee machine so they will not make it for me. It was still half an hour til closing time. I found it very strange that a customer can not order what they would like during cafes open hours. Should the cleaning not happen after they stop serving customers? The cakes I ordered were served in a takeaway bag and only put on the plate after asking. We had hardly finished the cake when the plates were quickly removed from us as the ushers us out faster even tho we still had 10 minutes til closing time. At this point they were also pulling shutters down. I didn’t feel welcome and would not recommend this cafe.
It was a sunny Sunday when I visited here. The atmosphere was amazing. Polite and welcoming staff. Good quality food, freshly cooked on site and reasonably priced. Great coffee too. Will definitely recommend and visit again. Have facilities at the back.
Just a brilliant cafe with lovely, friendly staff, nice food, and good coffee. We go in regularly with our dog and they are fantastic with her. Can't recommend enough.
The staff are beyond friendly. They know my dogs and always have treats available. My order is there before I even technically order it.... A trully hidden Croydon gem. Dusty and Deminka say hi!

Lloyd park is fantastic and has a cafe which I will review. I have been here several years ago and was ok. Now under a new owner it has definitely been upgraded. Firstly the menu is comprehensive..everything covered from breakfast to pizza and ice cream, as wel as cold and hot drinks. I have a dog and the cafe welcomes dogs and she even got some treats. The staff were some of the nicest people I have met and my dog loved them all. As a place to meet or hang out after a walk or just to come here for the food the atmosphere is fantastic. I met Oliver who served me was fantastic and I hope to return soon
After reopening by new owners, the cafe is bustling with life. The food is very good, fresh and enough choice. Delicious coffee. Pets are welcome, there is also something for them. I recommend with all my heart, we missed such a friendly place in our park. I wish the owners to stay that way.
