Didn’t really like the vibes, it’s more restaurant 4/10 The coffee was ok. 5/10 The maker looked unhappy with his job, didn’t smile didn’t do any extra, gave me a take away cup, while i was going to have it in. 4/10 Won’t come back.

Omelette was £10 and the staff was racist - he spoke exclusively to my Canadian friend and not to me, despite the fact that she ordered a slice of cake and I ordered a full omelette. At the end, at the till when I asked about student discounts, he asked me if I could read (*the menu had SD marked beside discounted items with absolutely no text to tell me what SD meant). Absolutely speechless.

Amazingly lovely staff who gave great service (a little slow, they were very busy)and were so very accommodating of our children, meeting all of their amendment/additions requests. Delicious food and reasonable prices. Going to the loo ... Was an adventure. Could do with some updating there. Will definitely visit again and definitely recommend.

I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but we had such an amazing lunch here today that I felt like I just had to go the effort of trying to spread the word! We received a warm welcome the second we walked in and enjoyed giant plates of delicious food for unbelievably low prices, considering the location and the quality. You must try the Moroccan chicken, I'm not sure what magic spell they use, but it's the most tender, juicy and flavourful chicken I've ever had. I work nearby and have tried quite a number of places for lunch over the months, the Aldwych Cafe is hands down the best one in the area!

I could not be happier I found this place. Aldwych Cafe is a hidden gem in central London. Incredibly reasonable prices and delicious homemade food. The Moroccan Chicken is my personal favourite, but all other options are also to die for. Mr Michael with his warmth and kindness are just the cherry on top!

Simple cafe but very nice staff. Good price for the coffee in this area and luckily not another chain (like most of the surrounding cafes...). WiFi works very good. As we have “Latte Macchiato” in Germany and here they offer either “Latte” or “Macchiato” he explained to me the difference and when it didn’t turn out the way I would have preferred it he gave me a portion of extra milk foam without extra charge. That’s how it should be but still not alert he standard.

This is just a block away from our hotel and we have had delightful breakfast baguettes and cappuccinos served up hot and fresh every morning by Youssef. Recommended for a quick and casual meal.
