Awful no win no fee solicitors. They show interest then try to escalate the situation with an agent by getting us to ask if the landlord has an insurance policy certficate. Which landlord from a recognised agency works with landlords with no insurance? None. Try to get clients to do their dirty work for them. Absolutely disgraceful. They bat for the other side. Avoid. One solicitor managng appears not to know how to start a legitimate case.
I had a CCJ filed against me whilst I was out of the UK and only discovered this when starting the process of purchasing a new property. From the outset, Treadstone were excellent. They advised of what to expect throughout the process and were able very good at managing my expectations. Hopefully I won’t be in this situation again, but if I am I know who to contact!
I asked treadstone to help me with a housing disrepair claim, concerning my landlord who was repeatedly ignoring my requests to fix faulty kitchen appliances. Cowboys, please steer clear. I would not normally write a review that could impact a business but the way Paul has handled this case is shocking. They have taken almost £1000 and I have had no correspondence other than 2 word emails, I called to speak to Paul who was abrupt and rude. Still no evidence that this submission has been made. If you are looking for someone to remove your CCJ you are probably desperate and I feel Treadstone take advantage of this. It has been months and I have now spoken to the company myself and made the N244 application myself and have been assured as it is processed through the system, the CCJ will be removed. Court fees for £275 only. Please avoid using this firm at all costs and save yourself some money.
These guys are really straight forward, no nonsense lawyers. I liked the fact that they spoke in plain English, met me really promptly and answered all my questions – even the ones I didn’t know to ask! They’re good at keeping you informed throughout the process too. I always though this was all about ‘no win/no fee’. I now realise that what is more important is how sizeable a claim a firm can negotiate on your behalf. What’s most impressive about Treadstone is that they punch well above their weight and are well above average in the claims they successfully negotiate.
Can't speak highly enough about the way they handled mine and my wifes claim , fantastic service from start to finish, they even came to my work to meet me initially as I was struggling to find time to see them. I'd not only use them again if I need to (fingers crossed I don't, no offence) but would happily recommend them to anyone.
All the staff at Treadstone were great, they are all very helpful and explained each step of my claim to me along the way, keeping me updated at all times.
