   Friendly local shabby chic coffee shop with a small breakfast menu and pastries. Its the local hub for day time breaks. Has some outdoor seating which is very inviting during the summer months.

   Pretty little place, but customer service from one waiter is poor and the food hygiene standards leave alot to be desired. Guys cover your food,wear your hair back or in a net and try to smile and be more friendly to all of your customers. We won't be coming back.

   We had to ask for our table to be cleaned twice as the 1st time wasn’t done properly. All empty tables had crumbs. And at 2pm they only had cheese toasties left. The place looks worn and looks like it needs some love and care. The food was nice though.

   Was driving pass and thought I’d pop in. Instantly amazed at the healthy menu available and decided I’ll have the smashed avocado with red onion and chilli flakes on toast. Amazing presentation. Food tasted as lovely as it looked. Staff were polite, friendly and welcoming. Oh and the music was very soothing.

   Lovely place under a big tree. Sitting in the sun, shade and enyoing breakfast could not be better. Very tasteful and with the best coffees and teas. Also great for mid day drinks and lunch.

   It always is sad when you see a friend excited to show you somewhere in their neighbourhood and regret or apology comes into their eyes. This happened with my mate today and I found myself trying to encourage him that sometimes service just.... isn't. I get the feeling any other day Petitou is a grand place to be. It has a pretty French Café look, with a little feeling of homegrown spirit. It's just the vibe if you like a coffee place to chat that is less commercial and outside of classic Peckham. When we went in we tried for a table, that we hoped could be cleared. We must have missed the beat between switch over. Yet, it kind of kept going downhill from there. No cutlery, mix up of our food order, having to ask a few times for other items. And for a newcomer like me, no real clarity on how much self-service was ours to do as sauces and other bits did not have a section. All of this is ok, but it saddened me and my friend that the addition of a tip is preferred at till point before any service is seen. It's hard to judge at that early stage if it's worth it. I said yes for kindness. I kind of regretted it later. I hate writing such a negatively tinged review because I think I could like this place but truly we just had a really bad time.

   Nice quirky little place with great food - although the service is beyond terrible. Went there 3 times, always forget to bring half of the food/drinks ordered. Waiters always come out with plates having no clue who ordered them. Also the staff is really nonchalant…. Wish they were a little bit more considerate! Would be helpful when people ordered you’d give table numbers so when they come out they know where the food has been ordered instead of interrupting everyone conversations outside by asking who ordered it. You’d probably benefit in having staff focusing on specific areas to improve customer experience.
