I used Temperley Taylor to carry out conveyancing for the sale of my property and purchase of the new one in Feb. Lauren was fantastic. The process was complicated by delays and pressure from the sellers of our new property but Lauren was always helpful whenever I rang. She even allowed me to drop off forms in the evening and processed things in a tight turnaround, to make things as stress free as possible. Thanks very much

Iβm a first time buyer and used them for my property purchase. Huge thanks to Lesley and Angela for all the support and guidance. I honestly had no idea what I was doing, but they helped me through every step and made the whole thing a lot less stressful. The team were really friendly, efficient and always there when I had questions. First class service β would definitely recommend!

I went to purchase a property and then head of conveyencing Vanessa decided to refuse my application. I did not receive all my money back that I put in for the application either as she said it was disbursements so for this reason I was not happy. The communication with Vanessa was very difficult aswell through the whole process. She came across as very unpleasant and was always difficult to get hold of. I managed however to get my property through another solicitor and meet my deadline so all is still good. And our company has worked with Ellie and Lauren in the past and everything went smooth with them

We recently had our conveyancing and wills completed by Temperly Taylor. Whilst the mechanics of those transactions went well (i.e. we completed on time and we got wills), the customer service side of things was poor in my view. Firstly, we had some issues with Lesley Curran, their conveyancer. We recieved the final contract, which did not reflect our wishes. When we fed this back, Lesley tersely suggested this would take more work to resolve since we had changed our minds. I had a slightly testy back and forth with her until I pointed out that we hadn't changed our minds and what I was asking for was stated clearly in our first meeting. At this point, Lesley responded with a breezy, "no problem, leave it with me". No apology or recognition that it was her mistake. Secondly, when Lesley sent us the final pack for signing she told us that everything was fine and there were no issues. When I read the pack, the boiler in the new house had been condemned. That was definitely an issue that should have been flagged to us in my view. Lesley was also slow to respond to requests for updates and these were always very brief. Overall, I got the impression that Lesley was perhaps too busy to read everything throughly or to retain what we had said, which is not great. Thirdly, when we made our initial inquiry we had ticked a box about getting wills done at the same time as the conveyancing. We didn't hear anything about this so I followed this up with Lesley. Her literal response was, "I don't do wills." Ok, but you company does, it implied this was a joined up service and you are a customer service representative so why the blunt response? When I asked what was going to happen as a result of ticking this box I was told "someone will be in touch". Unsurprisingly, no-one got in touch. I had to make my own appointment to discuss wills. Fourthly, we both prepared detailed requirements for our wills and discussed these with the staff member leading on this. The first draft of the will that I got back was mostly standard stuff and didn't contain most of my specific wishes. I had to request having these added in. The second draft still had something missing, but at this point I cut my losses. I've got the template now and I will update it myself. Again, I was left with the impression that this person wasn't really listening to what we wanted and was either going through the motions, or maybe thought they knew best? As I noted at the start, our conyevancing went to plan and we got wills, so in that sense everything was fine. However, there was a real lack of customer focus about the whole service. Both from the individuals we dealt with and lack of a joined up approach - don't put a "do you want wills" tick box on your inquiry form if you aren't going to train your staff about how to respond to it. Overall, I think Temperley Taylor are still in that mind set that we, the clients, should think ourselves lucky that they are representing us. However, there are lots of solicitors firms out there all providing the same service. The differentiator is how you support your customers and, based on my experience, I think they could do a lot better.

Process was really quick and completion was within around a month! I think the communication around legal documents and information could be better but other than that they were great!
