If you ever find yourself wandering through London in search of something genuinely comforting, you need to stop by this little café that has completely won me over. Their salad options alone are worth the visit — fresh, vibrant, and clearly made with real care. I recently learned that everything is prepared downstairs in their own kitchen, and they even supply food to several other cafés and restaurants across the city. It’s impressive, but what makes it truly special is the heart behind it. This is a family‑run business in the truest sense. Many of the people working in the kitchen are local housewives supporting their families, which might explain why the food tastes like something made in a warm, loving home. At the counter, you’ll usually find bright students earning a bit of pocket money or the managers themselves — a lovely couple who run the place with genuine warmth. Some afternoons, their 9‑ and 6‑year‑old sons stop by after school to help out, and it adds this charming, wholesome energy that makes the café feel like your own living room on a cosy Christmas day. Everything is made daily using whole, fresh ingredients. One detail that really touched me is that at closing time, they wrap up any leftover sandwiches and give them to people in need. It’s a small gesture, but it says everything about their values. In short, this café is a true London treasure. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why supporting local businesses matters — not just for the economy, but for the sense of community and warmth they bring to our streets. Walking in feels like stepping into a 90s TV show where neighbours know each other and kindness is part of the atmosphere. I can’t recommend this little gem enough. Ps: I attached pictures from different visits!

Unfortunately, my visit was disappointing. I asked for a cannoli and was offered a gluten-free option, but I was not informed that it was significantly more expensive. As a result, I ended up paying almost twice the price, which was quite surprising. The cannoli itself was overly sweet, with no noticeable pistachio or chocolate flavour. I was also charged for plain hot water, which is unusual, as in most cafés in London this is normally provided free of charge. Overall, the experience left a negative impression.

This place is a true gem in London, a charming venue that blends modern design with a slightly retro style, making it even more beautiful. There is a huge selection for breakfast, including fresh chocolate and fruit cakes, cannoli, croissants of all kinds, and a wide variety of sandwiches and toasted options. You will also find a complete lunch menu made with carefully selected and absolutely fresh ingredients. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. In short, it is an inviting and high quality spot that stands out for both its food and atmosphere, it is a versatile place that suits many different occasions, meet friends, job meeting, family. Restrooms are available inside, but they are not accessible for wheelchair users. High recommended.

I think we all love London for its random lovely discoveries. Joice is one of them. Such an amazing selection of Mediterranean pastries (both sweet and savoury) and very filling vegan salads, it's really hard not to be happy with this discovery. As soon as I walked in, I was puzzled with having to chose from so many excellent options. Toygar was more than helpful though - thank you! Great food, very friendly service, and comfortable seating. Highly recommended!

I came here for lunch and there was one staff member on. Between serving the floor, servings salads and making coffees it took ages to order and obviously customer service suffered a bit with the short staffing. There’s only so much one person can do so it wasn’t her fault at all! The salads are really good value! One recommendation would be to have salt + pepper on tables and even some condiments on the side- balsamic vinegar, olive oil etc as I felt some salads needed a little something extra (that’s my taste though). It is cozy and cute, the pastries looked delicious. I really would recommend coming for a healthier option for lunch!

Gorgeous wee cafe with the most amazing amount of delicious food options. I love peanut butter so I had to try the peanut butter cake. Simple put it was the best cake I have ever had and I'm not shy of a cake shop. I went and ate it in the park on a bench in the sun and it almost made emotional. I cannot recommend this place and specifically the peanut butter cake any more.

A lovely little cafe. Lots of options and every is well presented and looks like it's been made with care. We had a mix of tasty salads from Ottolenghi-esque bowls, most of which were vegan which was great for us. My boy had the Colombian scrambled eggs which looked great. He forgot his bag, with his phone and wallet, and the lovely friendly staff kept it safe until I went back. Thanks!

I was so blown away by the selection and quality of the food here. Ive stopped in once before to get a pastry (they have lots of vegan options) which was fabulous. Went back withba friend and we split some sandwiches and a plate of the day's salad selection... which was massive for such a good price. What else need sto be said! The shop is beautiful and warm. It's just the type of place that makes you happy.

My favourite place in Stoke Newington. I was in Clissold Park and I wanted to a coffee and got a gluten free hazelnut cannoli with it too. WOW!! The best cannolo I’ve had! The display is so inviting, I visited again the day after to try the salads and the savoury pastries and it did not disappoint at all! The food is fresh and prepared on site, the cakes are amazing- gluten free/ vegan options available. The staff was friendly and helpful. Local, fresh, genuine! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Michelle clearly needs training in customer service and needs to learn how to smile. Can’t even follow simple requests for orders, looked at me like I was stupid when I repeated my order but still she got it wrong. Openly Slags customers off behind the counter. Intentionally takes long and tells other staff that she’s intentionally taking long. Smashed my food so it burst out. This franchiser should be ashamed to have this woman representing their business. Michelle is someone not aloud to change their mind? Within seconds? I can’t even be bothered to come back and tell Michelle she got the order wrong that she jumped down my throat about and said she didn’t need to be told twice. Well Michelle, clearly you need to be told more than once and need training! The food isn’t even edible and you knew that. Spiteful behaviour. I wouldn’t trust eating from here and haven’t even eaten what I paid for.
