   Recently had a sale and purchase with Bannisters, they were recommended by the agent we sold with and it was an absolute pleasure. Buying and selling is very stressful but Danielle and Nichola were a breeze to deal with. Kept informed throughout and would highly recommend to friends and family. We dealt with Lois on the sale and she was also wonderful. Thank you once again

   We were recommended by Taylor Wimpey, and throughout the process, we were met with poor communication, lack of empathy, and an overall absence of client care. Despite doing everything on our side to move the transaction forward, delays and lack of urgency from their end contributed to a highly stressful and ultimately failed purchase. What’s worse, when everything fell through — through no fault of our own — there was no apology, no courtesy follow-up, and no acknowledgment of the emotional and financial cost we bore. We were left to deal with the aftermath alone, while they moved on as if we were never clients at all. Buying a home is one of the most significant moments in life. We expected at least basic professionalism and support — we got neither. I would not trust this firm with any future legal matters.

   Absolute Joke. We were assigned Bannister Solicitors via CompleteASAP. Initially a woman named Lynne contacted me and said they will send an email with the 'SAME EXACT' Quote as that of what CompleteASAP have given us and we just have to accept it and start uploading documents. When I checked the quote that came through, it infact had an additional fee and on questioning them and saying this isnt the SAME EXACT Quote, they said this is the only additional fee that there will be. I questioned them again and asked how does this mean its the SAME EXACT Quote if there is an additional fee? No answer and they declined to work our case towards helping us buy the house. I even asked them, you are a firm of lawyers, how does this look- saying quote will be the exact same and still having an added on fee? Utterly ridiculous. Process hadnt even started and they started charging extra. STAY AWAY

   We just sold our house and bought a new home using Bannister Preston Solicitors as the conveyancers for both transactions. We were recommended to use these solicitors by a friend who runs a well-known estate agency in Manchester, who highly recommends them to a lot of his clients. We have been blown away by how good they were. We were looked after by Dannielle Beard, Nichola Cooke and Lucy Oliver, who were all lovely to deal with. Compared to a previous house purchase in which we used solicitors recommended directly by David Wilson in the purchase of a new build (who charged a lot more, and were not responsive), Bannister Preston were incredibly responsive to emails, always getting back to us within 24 hours, we never had to chase them for anything. Even the estate agents on both sides of our sale/purchase couldn't believe how quickly the solicitors managed to get the sales through. We were also surprised by how reasonable their fees were. I will be recommending Bannister Preston Solicitors to all my family and friends in the future!!

   AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. do not use this solicitor. I used this solicitor to deal with my remortgage. They didn't even look at it until 2 months after I first spoke to them and they then phoned me to say they didn't realise that it had help to buy on it. This resulted in missing the deadline of my mortgage deal by 3 months so I had to pay extra on my the deal I had previous because they failed to get everything in order for my new deal to start. This cost me over £900 and I was told to speak to the complaints department. After speaking with them they got back in touch blaming me for the something they they completely made up. To miss a deadline by 3 months I think show how terrible the service they offer is and 5 months after completion I'm still waiting to here about the land registry. So this goes to show how incompetent they are. Please do yourselves a favour and find another solicitor as these are an absolute joke.

   Still ongoing with a house sale but to present it's been poor, incorrect paper work, incorrect advice, no ownership, live in a blame culture world nothing is their fault, will update when the present service they are providing is completed, that's if it gets to completion.

   Zero sense of ownership and customer service. It took me 16 emails in 1 day to clarify only 1 little thing. Yet I had to call them to get the query clarified. When I complained that it wasn't acceptable, given I had to email them so many times, during a working day, I was told " what's your issue, here?" They also charged me a cash handling fee, without even mentioning about it. Neither they invoiced me for that charge. I paid for a legal service. But left with feeling like victim of a legal scam.

   I would rate as zero stars if possible. I have been ignored, it has been over a month now that my mortgage offer has been ready and BannisterPreston keep giving excuses as to why my case isn’t moving. This is to purchase the remaining equity share from HTB lender. BP have been utterly useless so far. They are quick to take on new clients but never communicate back or give you any update whatsoever. I will be logging in a formal complaint about this but be warned, chose them and you’re almost guaranteed to be waist your time!!!
