Ordered sandwich to take away. Sandwich was either poorly sandwich was either poorly conducted or no properly wrapped so that olive oil dropped through the wrapping and covered my crotch in oil. Sandwich was also very mid for price of £9. Wouldn't buy again.
I visited Belgian Cafe with my family on Friday. Even though it was busy, we were impressed by the quick and friendly service. The food was fresh, tasty, and perfect for a family dinner. The cozy atmosphere made us feel welcome, and we will definitely come back!
I had a wonderful dining experience with my wife on a sunny Tuesday. We enjoyed a delicious salmon omelet and a flavorful wrap, both of which were exceptional. The food was fresh and well-prepared, making our visit truly enjoyable. Highly recommend!
Very expensive for milkshakes. £6.20 for a bit of milk and a couple of scoops of ice cream. Some ice cream fell on the counter and the assistant picked it up and put it into the blender.
Very Disappointed at how me and my colleague was treated and spoken to at Belgique just a moment ago. Very moody and made us feel like we wasn't wanted inside the shop. I have no idea why, as it's not like we are not dress smart, which shouldn't have anything to do with it in the first place. I asked which was the healthiest roll was, she replied “why look at the menu yourself” Not a smile to be seen. After returning to pick up the rolls, my colleague was in the middle of saying thank you very much and she said “goodbye” I will definitely not be going in there again, suggest you look into some new staff. They will lose your business money. Extremely rude and moody.
Great food but service was a bit slow, perhaps because it's Sunday. Will go again for sure.
Myself and 4 friends visited the Woodford Green branch today for lunch. I ordered the jacket potato with tuna for £8.50. The potato was only just cooked with very dry tuna ( hardly any mayo) and a lettuce leaf with 2 very thin slices of tomato ( which was stated as “ salad” on the menu. ) My friends also ordered jacket potatoes as well. We waited approximately 35-40 minutes from ordering to receiving our lunch. As we had 2 over 80s with us, I went to the counter to ask for some butter and told the staff the potatoes were very dry. I was given 3 very small wrapped butter portions between 4 of us. One 82 year old didn’t have any butter, as there wasn’t enough. We were so hungry by the time we received it all, I found it difficult to complain more than that. I think £8.50 is atrocious for a dry potato and lettuce leaf with dry tuna mayo. I had to help the old ones out of their seats and to my car afterwards, otherwise I would have complained more. None of us will be returning. Very poor lunch. Very unhappy.
I very much enjoyed ordering my cakes from this particular branch until I saw the Manager picking up a piece of cake that I wanted to buy with his hands ! Not tongs. I was shocked. When I wrote to the branch I was offered nothing as a gesture of goodwill in light of the bad and poor hygiene standard service and also considering that I spent over £50. Neither was the important issue of how food must be handled with tongs or catering gloves addressed and acknowledged. Very disappointed with the hygiene level, customer service and whole management .( Other female manage present also who couldn't be asked to serve me as I stood for a long time waiting to be served ) .I never used the branch again because of the way the manager handled cake. He could have also been serving other customers food with his hands ( no gloves).
Since the renovation, the cafe looks much nicer and has a better menu overall. But the new female staff are rude and not attentive. We had to keep asking till we actually went to find our own cutlery and napkins and they also served our warm dishes as cold on the plates. Poor staff attitude and no professional customer service.
