Stopped off in blackheath while on an heritage bus day on the 54 route with my daughter. We had a such a lovely lunch in this cafe; a tuna mayo sandwich and a ham cheese toastie with really good bread. There's a good selection of sandwiches, soup, salads, toasties and quiche. And some delicious cakes, my daughter had the passionfruit ripple slice. Staff are friendly and efficient especially the young man clearing tables. If it ever stops raining there's a courtyard garden too! Will visit again and explore the bookshops nearby.

I was in Blackheath today and popped into the cafe for lunch knowing nothing about it and not only was the food gorgeous but also the staff here are amazing. A customer in the queue ahead of me made some ‘gently’ homophobic remarks about the pride gingerbreads and the member of staff politely but firmly insisted that they were ok and not going anywhere. It’s so appreciated when local businesses support pride in the times we are in now (and it was as delicious as the amazing soup)!!! Will be coming again in the future and recommending this cafe to friends.

Lovely cafe, with a really cute garden that is so nice to sit out in in sunny weather. Food is really yummy and the staff are very friendly. Definitely recommend!

Lovely hidden gem. It has an old world charm, tastefully done, and once can easily spend time here- going through books and a casual chit chat. Coffee and tea are easy on the pocket- and we will be visiting this place! Highly recommend.

The atmosphere in this place is so calm and welcoming. Love being here. Life music event, classes, cozy library and outside area. Simple and delicious cafe: my favorites salad and tuna melt sandwich on the brown bread with seeds. Heartily recommend!

We went there for a cup of tea. They have every good tea selection and lots of seating available when we visit. I will go back again for sure.

I have been lucky enough to attend the belly dance group.Despite my disability and confidence issues,I emerge from the Bakehouse as a new woman!Maria our gorgeous dancer guides our gently and patiently! through the moves .We have so much fun in this very sociable environment and then visit the lovely cafe. The joy of the group is the mix of ages, nationalities and abilities.
