   I come at 3AM to get a sandwich and a coffee, the old lady is very busy on her phone… I knock twice, but she’s busy, doesn’t hear it. I have to go and activate the pump so she can finally hear the alarm and come to the counter. Still on her phone while taking my order, maybe that’s why instead of “the blue Walkers” she brings me a blue water (bottle). When I tell her not the blue water, the blue walkers, the crisps, very annoyed (still having her text unfinished or something - she didn’t put the phone down yet) she asks “which colour?” Well… then when she comes with the coffee she looks at me what am I waiting for, and offers me sugar, while my sandwich and crisps are still on her counter. I understand that people might be tired at this hour and mistakes can happen, but if the employee is stuck on their phone while taking my order, that’s not a mistake, that’s not carrying about the customer. Hey, at least they still serve coffee.

   I used to come here nearly every day for a coffee in the morning and really enjoyed the taste and temperature of the coffee. Then it became more and more frequent that they couldn’t sell coffee. Either they had no lids, no cups, no beans, machine not working, staff member couldn’t leave the till, delivery in progress. It actually became amusing to me going, knowing I was unlikely to be served coffee but seeing what the reason would be today. I could tell the staff members were embarrassed as they recognised me walk in and knew they’d have to give some silly reason they couldn’t serve coffee. Anyway, this caused me to buy my own espresso machine as I was so often let down by the Mottingham wild bean. A few months of not visiting and I went in today for something else and thought why not get a coffee too? Sure enough couldn’t serve me a coffee today.

   It's a take away coffee counter in a petrol station so really there is a limit to how many stars that could possibly get - staff were really friendly and the coffee was ok though.
