I've been getting my morning fix of coffee (and sometimes food ) from Gails, Loughton, since it opened. This morning, I had some spare time, so I chose to have my coffee in the bakery and do some work. I was there for about an hour⦠in fact, I could have stayed all day, as far nicer than my office! It was hard not to notice the incredibly friendly staff and the very warm and welcoming atmosphere that accompanied that - a really great place to come.

A good morning always starts well when I visit Gail's shop. No matter if I am there to collect my bread order, a light lunch or just in need of a coffee, the staff there is always nice and ready to serve you with a big smile. Highly recommended.

Today, my wife and I visited GAIL'S CafΓ© on Loughton again. As always, Maria provided excellent service. I'd like to point out that she's always at her desk, always greeting guests with a smile, and is very friendly. I leave this cafΓ© feeling very good. Thank you, Maria, from Romania! Sincerely, Ghenadie.

They consistently deliver high-quality coffee and delicious food. There is always queue to order; doesnβt matter day or time of the day but you usually find sitting relatively easily. The staff, especially Funda, is so warm and friendly despite that crowd and business.

Rather disappointing lacklustre interior here considering prominent location at a busy intersection and Gailβs proven expertise in revamping and invigorating. A subdued show here of the signature cakes, pastries and lite-bites. Accomplished βman sizedβ coffee....(oops!) Quality is sound, while service is effective and competent, albeit the setting lacks a sense of coherence and depleted of joie de vivre.

Gail's are 5* for all their products. This store has the edge over others because they have 3 lovely sales staff who are so helpful and friendly.

Ok coffee, good colour, bit dilute but fair coffee taste. Music is very loud. Β£7 for Americano plus a scone. Guess inflation is hitting Gail's hard.

Walking past, early December, Brunchtime, Tuesday, Smoked Turkey Sandwich sign outside. Why not? Popped in here for the Turkey and a coffee. Place was full of Mums "wot" lunch and laptop-people (where a single coffee can be made to last about four hours) - three separate groups around me seemingly talking about Public Relations and Marketing Campaigns. Once upon a time cash was king - here, they can't even be bothered to accept it as payment, they're still using Covid as an excuse. Local annoyances aside, the Sandwich was deep-filled, deliciously smokey (and jammy) and the latte; hot, frothy marvellousness.
