   I had a dent in my car door that was so small it wouldn’t show on photographs which was causing issues as chips away and a person they recommended were requesting photographs which didn’t show the dent. Took it to Formby car body repairs, was told to bring it in any day and their dent man would sort it. Took it in the next morning and received a call within 30 minutes to say issue resolved and car ready for collection. Fabulous service and friendly staff.

   Following a reversing error on my part that occasioned a sizeable dent and scratch in the tailgate of my Honda Jazz I could hardly believe the quality of the repair when I collected the car after just a day and a half, literally 'as good as new.' They returned my Audi A3 to me immaculate and gleaming in the space of two days.The Audi ‘approved’ repairer wanted the car for two weeks - so they could hire me another - with a quote over double that of Formby Car Body. Do we need to wonder why our insurance premiums have shotup?

   On enquiring réception (she) not at all helpful or customer friendly, wouldn't really give info on method of repair, told me that it needed to be seen i said I'd send pictures "ok, do you want the email then?" She then repeated that they didn't do alloys on my initial enquiry to which i replied, you've said so. By this time i questioned the enthusiasm for my business & she put the phone down on me.

   I had used Formby Car Body Repairs for a previous vehicle, so when I scuffed my car's bumper recently, I took it to them to see what could be done. Rather than replacing the bumper which would have been very expensive, Clem explained how it would be repaired and repainted and was able to give me a quote on the spot. The job was booked in and was completed within a day. The quality of the work is outstanding - I really can't see where the previous damage was... It's as though they turned back time to just before the scrape! Just as importantly as the job itself, everyone I came into contact with was helpful and friendly. I didn't catch the name of the lady in the office but she was really nice to deal with and, as I don't live too far away, she even collected me so I could bring the car home when the job was done. A fantastic service from start to finish and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

   Most awful customer service experience from Formby Car Body Repairs! Requesting a quote for repair to rusty wings. So unhelpful to the point that they actually said didn't want my custom! Refused to go through relevant options to suit my budget. Avoid!

   Used them twice now. The first time they managed to reshape and refinish a piece of trim on a Ford Fusion, saving me pounds. Second time I split the bottom of the front spoiler on my Merc. They melted in a piece of metal mesh to repair the split, resurfaced, polished and painted it, to a faultless finish. All for less than my insurance excess. These guys are very good.
