I spoke with Graham Povey today who was excellent. Very quick, very thorough, and explained the process. A very competitive price (I am a Co-Op member), so I have no concerns with throwing all my "In The Event Of..." business to the Co-Op!

Great meeting with Andrew Ford. He was very helpful and informative. Feel that the Co-op is trustworthy and use them for many other services.

HW, Associate Case Manager at Coop Legal Services, recently assisted me with drafting my will. She was professional and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain each step of the process clearly. Her attentiveness and patience made the experience straightforward and reassuring, and I felt well supported throughout.

I would definitely NOT recommend for sorting POA. My MIL started the process in January and the paperwork was sent back 3 times. Weeks went by without any communication whatsoever so we assumed all was correct. A fiasco from start to finish. Finally forwarded to OPG in AUGUST! Complete waste of over £700.

I completed the online document to request a callback. In this I specified an evening call would be preferred. Despite this I received a call back at lunchtime, which went through to voicemail. I called back towards the end of the afternoon. The lady was not available so I left a polite message asking for a call that evening. She did not return my call so I called the next day and left another message. She did not return this call either! I like many people associate the Co-Op with quality service that you can trust, however I can’t even get to first base!

We used CLS for probate recently - the sales person was excellent, unfortunately it was downhill from thereon. The first case worker wasn't helpful and she didn't deal with the insurance company effectively, costing us time & money. The 2nd case worker was much better at communicating with us. Probate was completed in 9 months. However going on our overall experience I wouldn't recommend CLS.

Shortly after my Late mothers recent funeral arrangements had satisfactorily been made with Co-Op funeral care 31/11/22 (the next day to be exact), I received an unsolicited call from Co-Op legal services. To be clear the phone number used to call me on is only available to a closed set of people and therefore this was a cold call from the Co-Op. After the usual pleasantries were exchanged, (you know the kind when someone who does not know the family or deceased) the real reason for the call commenced. To state this was a HARD SELL call would be an underestimation. The Co-Op legal associate, after introducing themselves and detailing my mothers name, immediately requested my personal email address so they could send me some useful information, which is actually available on the internet on a number of resources not just Co-Op. The provision of my email, I was firmly told, was a requirement before the caller could continue to discuss the wonderful services Co-Op legal department could offer me to speed up the administration of my late mothers estate. When I declined to provide my email, the caller got very annoyed and started to spout, what can only be called scare tactics, stating: I would be foolish to attempt to administer the estate without legal representation; could easily fall foul of the UK government departments without Co-Ops help; would make mistakes dealing with the estate and administrating money to the family; would not be able to legally close bank accounts; and numerous other half truths, all in an attempt to push me into whatever legal services the caller was trying to sell. The caller laughed at the notion of using the governments "tell us once" service and even registering the death with the registrar without Co-Op legal help to do this for me. I even asked if the caller could briefly tell me what the Co-Op legal services offered were, that I could not do myself. This question was laughed at and the reply was "I can not discuss that as you have refused to give me your email". Naturally I then ended the call. Co-Op you should be ashamed to have these people working for you. They are parasites, that prey on the elderly and bereaved families ALL FOR CO-OPs PROFIT.

I hate to leave a bad review but this is ridiculous. It’s been more than three years since my grandfather passed away, leaving his estate to the family via Co-op legal services. On their own website it states that the average time to complete estate allocation is 9-12 months. Three years later they still have not fulfilled their duties! I understand that things take time but the worse part is that we have not received any update from them, and every time we call our “case handler” is not there or we find out we’ve been assigned a new case handler, who then needs time to go over the case.. We’ve had at least three new case handlers by now, terrible service! If I don’t hear back soon I’d suspect that there is fraud involved. It does not take multiple years to execute a simple will. You have my number, I’d appreciate a call.

Very prompt and thorough service. VBM is a very professional case manager who took the time needed to understand our needs. I have no hesitation to recommend CO-OP legal services.
