After my Transit converted campervan sat at my local garage for two weeks with no progress, I contacted the Gearbox Centre and from the very first phone call, I knew I was in good hands. Martin was straight-talking and instantly put my mind at ease, giving me confidence that they could sort the issue. True to his word, the quote was exactly as he said, with no hidden surprises. Within 48 hours, the van was diagnosed, fixed, and back on the road. Martin kept me informed throughout and, when I came to collect the van, he provided an in-depth explanation of the fault and what had been done to resolve it. The whole team were friendly, helpful, and professional a real breath of fresh air after a frustrating couple of weeks elsewhere. Thank you Martin and your team if I could give 10 stars I would.
I can certainly see why Buckley Gearbox have a complete 5 star status. My gearbox broke just after New Year and I woke up one morning to a phone call from Martin telling me to recover the van to them and he would fix it for me. Less than 24 hours from dropping it off I’ve got it back on my drive way! Truly incredible service all round! Special thanks to the lady on reception for such a smooth transaction as well. Very highly recommend!!

The Gearbox Centre recently repaired my Vauxhall Astra when the gearbox literally collapsed. I had dealings with the owner and with one of the workshop lads, both of whom were very knowledgeable. They fitted one of their recon gearboxes and had the entire repair completed in a few days. Excellent customer service at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!
I cannot recommend the Gearbox Centre in Buckley highly enough. Martin the owner is a diamond. I'd been having gear change selection problems for a while in my Peugeot 208 and after ringing the centre and the lovely lady on reception told me they could fit me in for a test drive to help diagnose the problem within 24 hours. With no attempts to bamboozle me or rip me off Martin had the problem sorted professionally and with no fuss. Do yourself a favour and use this brilliant local business if you ever have any clutch or gearbox problems.
13/1/23. I phoned up because id had a duff recon gearbox off local part supplier. They where very helpful i drove there i went in the office to the luvly lady to pay. The old box was out of my jeep and new exchange box in the back and i drove away. Fantastic service 110percent. Thanks so much
What a refreshingly honest, friendly and human to human service. Going to a garage is a worry for anyone but as a woman I always feel I’m more likely to get mugged off. Instead I was given a friendly reception, understanding, time and quality advice.. not a false diagnosis just to make cash which is a sad reality of a lot of places. Highly recommend and will definitely bring any business I have here in the future.
