Had a nighmare time with this garage. Booked the car in lhe Service/MOT. told to come back mid afternoon to pick up.Turned up and waited ...and waited...and waited. last to leave .even shown around the garage and given all the talk about what was wrong. Hugely expensive. Man said he went round as one of the main "examiner's" in North Wales whatever that means. Had a nightmare time after that. They had split/cross threaded the screw on the oil sump when putting back on. Awful time as not picked up until a garage in Acton who tried and leased it to some garage in Llay who still could not fix the botch of a job in Rhosddu. Eventually sorted by the best garage in Wrexham ..John Roberts in Llay. stay away from this place at all cost
We use Owens for all our vans and even company car when needed. Erica and the team are fantastic. We have urgent bookings for unplanned issues, and MOT / Service intervals. The overall value is definitely worth it for us, and no issue is too big. Good honest local company. Ignore any spurious reviews from people who expect everything in life for free. I have been coming to Owens Automotive for a few years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They fully explain any issues with my car and advise if the work needs doing immediately or not. They are often very busy, yet they will always squeeze me in for an appointment if work needs doing at the last minute. They provide an excellent service from start to finish with very fair pricing - I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!
Avoid at all costs. My brother had his vehicle recovered to this garage by the RAC. After over 4 weeks of silence, he was given no diagnosis, no quote, and no timeline. Every time he asked for an update, he was met with dismissive responses, including “I don’t have a magic wand.” Eventually, they threatened to leave the car stripped down by the roadside. When he arranged for another recovery company to collect it, we found it had been returned in a completely dismantled, undriveable condition, with the battery, air intake, and wiring dumped inside the cabin, and interior panels removed, all without his permission. No work was authorised, no paperwork was provided, and no explanation was given. It was completely unprofessional and negligent. Do not trust your vehicle with this garage
Thank you so much to everyone at Owen Automotive who helped our daughter. Our daughter was travelling from Anglesey to our home in Devon when her car battery light came on, as parents in Devon, we googled a nearby garage, Owen Automotive came up. We directed her there and you guys were amazing. Diagnosing a failed alternator, ordering the parts and then completing the repair the next day. Not only did you do that but you assisted her in finding a hotel for the night and assisting her to get there. We are very grateful for your professionalism and care. thank you.
