   I've attended two gigs here now, first for Lanterns on the Lake in November last year, and then yesterday to see Kelly Moran. Both were amazing shows in their own right, but this was enhanced by the venue which is a beautiful mix of classic architecture and modern design. Sound on both occasions has been excellent, and staff at the venue are friendly, courteous and helpful. Accessibility and facilities are good, and the Kino bar downstairs does great coffee to boot. Definitely somewhere I would return to for more shows!

   Howard Assembly Room is a great venue for intimate performances. My husband and I have been enjoying the place ever since we moved to Leeds. We went to see different concerts and artists and were never disappointed. My understanding is it was recently renovated and I think it definitely benefited the place. You can still see and appreciate the old building and its structure yet it’s well lit up and has wide staircase and an elevator. The seating is new and convenient which helps you relax and focus on the stage. The staff is always polite and helpful. Great place all around.

   Amazing intimate venue. Great how they have revived this space. Beautiful old building tastefully restored and kitted with modern high tech sound and visual for an immersive experience. Highly recommend.

   First visit here, I’ll be following it from now on for future events. I really rate this venue. First of all it’s in a good location, 10 minute walk from Leeds train station. Secondly, the staff are extremely efficient, polite and welcoming. Thirdly, it’s a great space and lastly, sound and lighting was top notch. We went to see PJ Harvey read from her new poetry book Orlam. It was sold out but was so well organised it didn’t feel crushed. A fantastic experience, I highly recommend this venue.
