Costa Café is a reliably solid choice for a coffee stop, with a familiar menu of hot drinks, iced beverages, pastries and light bites. The layout is typical of a high-street chain: straightforward, functional, with seating arranged to make good use of space. It doesn’t feel overly plush or boutique, but it’s comfortable enough for a quick meet-up or a stop while passing through. During busier hours, Costa can become crowded, especially when people queue up for their morning caffeine fix or midday snack. However, staff tend to keep things moving reasonably well, balancing orders and clearing tables with decent efficiency. At times the wait can stretch, but the pace generally remains tolerable. The staff are usually polite and accommodating, though like all chains, the experience can vary slightly by branch. The drink quality is dependable: your latte, cappuccino or flat white is unlikely to astonish, but rarely disappoints either. Flavours tend toward the safe and familiar rather than adventurous or artisanal. Pastries and food options are standard for a chain café—convenient, decent, but not gourmet. Cleanliness is acceptable for the most part, though in busier periods tables may linger un-cleared for a short while, and spills or crumbs sometimes linger in corners until staff circulate. Overall, this Costa Café offers what you expect from a high-street chain: consistency, convenience, and a familiar menu. It’s not extraordinary, but it’s a dependable place to pause, get a decent coffee, and recharge.

I rarely go for coffee. However, on this occasion my friend and I decided to go for coffee and cake. Straight away we were told that the store closes in 20 minutes. (It was 40 minutes before closing) Therefore, we could only get take away. I ordered a black coffee and my friend didn’t have anything as the store was ‘closing.’ Unfortunately, my coffee had milk in it. (I guess the girl was in a rush to close) It’s a good thing I’m not lactose intolerant, I just don’t like it! Not sure I would bother with this store again.

On entering Costa Coffee, I noticed how untidy the unoccupied tables were. There were only a few customers waiting to order, so I received my order quickly. Staff were pleasant and pointed out the current discount on muffins. I cleared a table, then shortly after noticed a member of staff clearing the other tables. It is amazing how loudly some people talk, and this Costa branch is relatively small, though it has some seating outside in the Mall area. Maybe if I wasn't having a coffee alone, and not just scrolling through emails on my phone,  I wouldn't have noticed the noise level, so much. Safe to say, I drank my coffee quicker than I usually would and left shortly after.

I ordered an ice latte here not too long ago and it was rather nice. I liked the flavour of the coffee. It was strong but yet had the right amount of milk for a nice balance. The service was quick even though there was a queue when I got in. It went fast and then it was my turn. Friendly and nice service.

Good coffee but the staff are really really really really slow. Stood there as the only person while three staff prepared backed up orders for 10 minutes. At prêts orders go through in seconds

This Costa was chaotic when I went in, I feel sorry for the staff who all seem rushed off their feet, and while I was there a man brazenly shoplifted loads of food and kept piling products into his bag even when a member of staff asked him what he was doing. Agree with others, the person on the tills keeps taking orders but the barista staff can't keep up with them and creates a massive backlog.

Absolutely atrocious order made and forgotten about. Need to stop taking orders and allow time to catch up avoid at all costs. Latte when it did arrive half full.

Even with Covd-19 procedure in place it's still good to chill here for a coffee break! You have to take away, but some of the same friendly staff are still there, you just have go out into the Street again. No inside seating. All re-opened normally again. So I pop in often. I'm not sure what I will do when the new price rises come in.
