   The wake for my late dad was held at the Woodman, everything was ready when we arrived , the food was amazing, the yorkshire puddings with sausages were popular, the cakes were delicious, staff were lovely, the location was perfect , thanks! We did wish that we lived nearer the pub as if so this pub would have been our new local! We would not hesitate to use the pub again in the future.

   I actually want to post a big thank you to Steve and the team for hosting my brother's wake with such care and sensitivity. The whole team were fantastic and respectful of our wishes which helped make a very difficult day easier. The food was fantastic, and the room was lovely and cosy. The Woodman is perfectly located for breakspear crematorium. Steve was also fantastic when we had to rearrange the funeral at short notice due to a family emergency, taking a huge amount of stress off of our shoulders at an already stressful time. We were able to give my brother a send off that felt right for our family and we will always be extremely grateful for that. Thank you all again.

   I recently held a wake at the Woodman for my beloved late husband. The Woodman staff were amazing from the moment I first contacted them. On the day a superb buffet was set out and all ready for when we arrived. The food was excellent and the staff were so lovely and helpful. Louise is amazing and looked after everyone, nothing was too much trouble she is a diamond. The pub setting was perfect - set out like a cosy country pub inside with great outdoor seating with heaters. Highly recommended venue - thank you to all the staff at the woodman ❤️

   A small cosy pub with traditional feel. Great outdoor seating area, perfect for better weather. Indoors serves through two bars.. public and lounge.. lounge bar has a bit of character to it. Courteous staff. But i must admit.. it was a bit boring without any food being served on a thursday evening.

   We were a group having lunch before a funeral at the crematorium. We were welcomed so genuinely by Lou who I assume runs the pub. Gorgeous outdoor seating area and the flowers are so well looked after. Lunch was simple but delicious which suited us perfectly. I’d highly recommend here and it’s a shame we don’t live close by.

   Just had a lovely lunch here today. There was six of us. We didn’t book but they fitted us in with no fuss. The food was lovely, hot and very tasty. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was a problem Will definitely be returning.

   The moment I entered the restaurant, I could tell that this would be a cozy, welcoming community. They had managed to think of the most extraordinary idea in the history of places to eat, which is that they hand around the food in a tray and each time there are different foods on each plate. The workers there (Lou, Abi and Hannah) are incredibly kind and you can always rely on them to bring your food and drinks to you. The quality of the design and furniture there is truly remarkable, with plenty of space in between them. The bathrooms were very tidy and spacious, and fancy too. There were golden outlines on the sinks and the design of the wood is even good quality! I would highly recommend going to this place either to hang out with your mates, catch up on some work or to wind down after a hard, emotional day at the funeral nearby. So, if you’re walking along the street and you see this building, maybe you should think twice about just walking by. Esmé - age 10

   Great service, lovely covered outside area with heaters you can control. Home cooked meals and decent £. You can order drinks and food on the app too! The staff so friendly that just I had to give 5stars!
