wish it were possible to give zero stars. The staff seemed uninterested and lacked basic hospitalityβno smiles, no courteous responses, and overall a very unwelcoming attitude whenever we asked anything. If youβre looking to enjoy yourself or celebrate, this definitely isnβt the place. You might end up feeling more isolated than entertained.

Be very careful of the managers of this pub who go after old vulnerable local people with learning disabilities who have just lost their husbands, Well EDITH has never before been to this old girls home but on turning up asks to see the woman's bank statements within mins (EDITH) then proceeds to phone the life plan insurance company to find out how much the wife is going to be receiving from the plan and from her own phone but when I asked the old girl what company was phoned and what number called, she didn't have a clue. EDITH then started taking this old woman round places in her car and giving her free drinks in the pub making out she's her new best friend. This old girl doesn't know the managers real first name, surname or her address, she knows absolutely nothing about her or her dodgy husband. This should ring red flags to everyone BUT tonight I've had some drunk with earrings in her lips knock my door asking for me by name, threatening me, warning me to stay away from "Camilla". This elderly couple for the last 18 years I have done absolutely everything for both them. Tonights drunk knocking has been recorded unfortunately for her on both my front and door camera. Now they know there's a £10,000 life insurance plan about to be paid out they're all over this old girl like a rash. They've already had a knock from the police but they denied everything. Fast forward to Sunday 23rd November, 2 days after the husband's funeral. The wife across the road knocks at my door asking to have a chat with me. I said not really I was busy and didn't want any more involvement with her after all the trouble I've had from "her new mates" but turns out I'm glad I let her in because after showing her the photos and videos of the drunk coming to my door she said "Oh yes that's Jo Jo and she doesn't live in the area but gets a train down to WD" She said she knew nothing about anyone being sent to my door threatening me but after seeing the videos she was absolutely mortified that EDITH had sent a drunk to my door to try to scare me from the pub and she, Camilla was very angry that her "new friends" had done all this behind her back. She went on to tell me EDITH had blocked my number on her phone and she thought that meant she couldn't ring me and she asked me to unblock it which I refused to do telling her to go back to EDITH and tell her to unblock it. She said she was totally embarrassed the day EDITH phoned me shouting down the phone a number of lies and one of them being the old girl was scared of me. She said she told EDITH straight away she wasn't scared of me and asked EDITH why she said that and EDITH quickly changed the subject. For her to come across this evening speaks volumes to me and I think she now knows EDITH was after the £££ all along and now the husband's wake is out the way and they got the cash for a wake no one wanted in that pub she's seeing things more clearly. She also said EDITH told her it was best I didn't go to the husbands funeral so again clearly all the signs of wanting to isolate Camilla from anyone that knew her well. Camilla told me she didn't want the wake in the De Burgh pub and said she had no choice because EDITH had made all the arrangements and Camilla said she would have much preferred to have gone for a nice meal and drink at a far more nice and decent pub up the road from us, where we went for Camilla's dad's wake. Goes without saying I will be reporting all this new information from today to social services and the police in the morning and showing them the recordings I done when Camilla was here for my own safely after all that's happened in recent weeks. Isolating an old women from her real friends is nasty and trashy but now Camilla recognises Jo Jo from the videos and the pub and her association with EDITH let's see what the police have to say about it all now.

The best curry ever, i had a paneer curry and my partner the chicken curry, pillau rice and peshwari naan - everything was beautifully tasty, full of authentic spices. The staff were so friendly - a lovely evening with good beer and wine. Thank you so much.

Met the most kind people. We were outside trying to navigate travel, when we were invited in and helped to get a cab. We so appreciated the kindness these strangers showed us.
