   Stopped and parked the car here for a medical emergency and then received a parking charge. Not very hospitable! What is more irritating is that there was a member of staff about who came out to car park to check what's going on, saw a health issue but never bothered to check in if things are okay or warn us of the parking charges. Really not a hospitable place!

   I used to come here every sunday night after training with the group of friends before covid and a series of lockdowns. These friends knew this pub and the landlord for many-many years. Lockdown has bloody killed this pub, unfortunatly. I was in the area and poped to this place to check ot out. I am glad that I found it open again and fully functioning under new ownership. But this once fully packed place was absolutely empty, only staff and the owner. I want and I wish this place be busy and brimming with people and life again as it once was. Wishing lots of luck to the staff and its new owner.

   It is a relief to discover that this establishment remains open throughout the week, contrary to my previous misconception that it had closed. I am very pleased to see both old and new customers in the pub. I will start going there again and again. I recommend it to all and give it a try.

   Came here with my mates who drink alcohol. They had a great time and enjoyed the alcoholic drinks available. First time visiting and I love the beams on the ceiling which gave it an old authentic pub feel. It was a very nice, cosy and lively atmosphere in there. People very having a laugh and enjoying themselves. I had a regular soft drink and a lovely serving of chips which were really crispy and well cooked. Lots of delicious meals on the menu. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would return her again.

   Bar tender was lovely, very polite and helpful. Down side was food. We called before going and was told they serve food from 5pm. We waited until 5.30 with 2 hungry under 5 year olds and no one turned up. The bar tender tried to contact the chef but had no response. Bar side was nice, food is unreliable.

   Lovely English pub and restaurant with traditional black wood beam ceiling features and a bar decorated with lights (see picture). I just popped in as I was passing on a Monday afternoon. I really liked it. Google maps has (or had) this place noted as permanently closed. It is, however, most definitely open.
