Very friendly staff. Great service from Gemma. Excellent menu at very reasonable prices and always a good selection of well kept ales.

Went there for dinner and had the 10oz steak, the chips was to over cooked and steak wasnt a 10oz and pepper corn sauce was not nice either. Also it took to cook the food 6 mins thought was a bit to quick. So not to happy.

We were house sitting for the week and can’t rate your venue and team enough! A special mention for Terri for the food! Burgers were exceptional, and Manny…. Customer service doesn’t get better! Thank you all and see you in a few months!

I took my Dad here for lunch last week. We both had a great meal. The bar and table service were excellent, even though it was very busy due to a wake, we were really well looked after. Will definitely be back.

The Cricketers has been refurbished to a high standard. We enjoyed an excellent lunch served in a cheery but professional way. Really hope they are successful.

Went there for a birthday meal with my family on the evening of Friday 3rd Feb. The staff, pub and overall vibe was very pleasant, unfortunately I can't say the same for the food - it was awful. Don't be fooled by the updated menu ....bland, over cooked, burnt, nothing fresh (all frozen) all spring to mind and no fish left on a Friday. A real shame as we were hoping to make this our local. The final bill was amended to ease some of the pain, equally, you have a chance to get things right the first time and the food served will be the reason we'll never go back.

Went for a family lunch today. A highchair was brought to the table and a Gluten free menu for my daughter. They didn't have our choices on the menu, or 2nd choice, so we went for beef and mushroom pie. It was delicious. Baby enjoyed her meal as well. Daughter had a chicken and veg curry and son in law had the Gammon. All generous portions and beautifully cooked. Only one chef on duty and we were told to expect a delay. We didn't have to wait very long though and the waitress was very sweet and helpful. We will definitely be back to try out Sunday Roast after the New Year. Nice to see a local traditional pub. Well done to all the staff.

Recently had a refurbishment & looking all the better for it. Along with the fresh paint is a fresh new menu which doesn’t disappoint. Providing a brunch, lunch and evening meal options with most dietary requirements catered for. Portions are good and value for money. We received excellent service on our visit from the young lady who seemed to be covering bar & tables but we were never kept waiting. A very pleasurable afternoon, I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Have dined here many times & always enjoy the atmosphere, food & service. Good idea to get a Baron group loyalty card & receive a good discount. Check their website for t&c also other restaurants in their group. Can't go wrong really. Enjoy!
