Breakfast at The Tichenham. The most valuable piece of advice that I can offer for patrons wishing to breakfast at The Titchenham Inn is - don't! Move up or down the street and find somewhere else. This is by no means a reflection on the pub itself. The food operation in this 'Moon on the something' pub is run by an independent company. Unfortunately it is run spectacularly badly. Our visit was on a quiet Sunday in February in search of a half-decent brunch. We got 50% of our ambition with 'half-decent' a distant second. Having waited a long, long time for our order to be taken; what followed next seemed like an eternity. The service is beyond slow. I assumed that the coffee from the bean-to-cup machine was bottomless to help pass the time but unfortunately it broke down after the first cups. After a polite enquiry to a (very understanding but completely helpless) member of staff the breakfast eventually arrived. Your experience might well be different (I hope that it is) but the food is definitely below par for the price. We have added some photographs, in part because it was more fun photographing the food than eating it. If a sausage is described as 'premium' it carries and expectation of quality and 'mass'. The sausages are not premium. That is a lie. The fried eggs were completely burned on the bottom, yet they managed to cleverly arrange for upper parts to be partially cooked. Toast. Toast is not warmed-through white Mother's Pride. You should be able to identify areas of browning on the surface. Look at the bacon. I will not dignify it with the word 'rasher'. It is a small, dry, paper-thin sheet of could-be-bacon. Believe it or not, if you wanted a second slice that's a quid onto the price! Apart from that, everything was fine.

We recently visited this place to check out their new kitchen and left with a positive impression overall. The menu looks exciting, and we were eager to try their signature burger and lamb chops. Both dishes were delicious, showcasing quality ingredients and bold flavors. However, the burger was slightly overcooked for our taste, and the lamb chops were a bit undercooked. We shared these thoughts with Mike, and he was incredibly receptive and appreciative of our feedback, which speaks volumes about their commitment to improving. It’s clear that the kitchen has great potential, and we’re confident they’ll refine these details as they settle in. We look forward to coming back and seeing how they continue to grow.

Good pub, decent management during the day and evening. A few of the younger staff members' attitudes are a bit questionable. Overall for the food, drinks and pricing... can't go far wrong. Worth a visit

The most arrogant, ill mannered, obnoxious staff, led by a manageress of the same ilk. Wetherspoons is a great cheap and cheerful Institution normally with pleasant staff. This place is the exception and should be avoided.

Wonderful little pub- emphasis on little compared to other spoons. Clean and tidy with a few booths and a mixture of high and low tables. Small bar (I said it was a small place) all lit up on Christmas eve. The Guinness was excellent

I mean it’s a weird sort of place- where tradesmen come for a cheap pint and probably still drive home… it’s got a comforting kind of warmth but also a cold “don’t come in” vibe- I don’t know what to make of it yet. I’m sure by the time I’ve moved away I’ll be able to give you the right words.
