The food at The Bell was absolutely sensational, the only thing better than the food was the staff! The service was absolutely impeccable and my family love coming here to dine as they know it’s always a great experience with the staff. A huge shout out the Sue, the manager!

We are members of a walking group, & booked a Christmas Party lunch at The Bell. We all agreed that it was the best Christmas Lunch we had ever had. Full marks for everything from everybody. It couldn't have been better, we couldn't fault a single thing. Pleasant surroundings, fantastic food & first class service. A perfect Christmas Lunch !! It was unanimously decided to return to The Bell for Christmas 2026, & no doubt some, or all of us will be visiting The Bell long before then !!

We went for Sunday roast. We booked our table of 6 on Friday for Sunday at 3pm. Just per chance we rang up at 12 on Sunday to confirm our booking and was told there was no booking. We spoke to the manager on the phone who explained that we should have gotten a text confirmation, the table was booked for a birthday and we ended up rebooking at 4pm with the manager and still never received a text confirmation. On arrival we were greeted from behind the bar and shown to our table. We were given several menus, but no drinks menu and no children's menu despite clearly having a toddler with us. It felt like staff were forcing themselves to be friendly and taking our order was rushed. 2 of our party was 20 minutes late and it felt like we were not welcome. I saw a very different person when our server (possibly the shift manager/supervisor) was serving regulars on the tables next to us - asked them how they were, if they wanted their usual table etc. No one ever followed up with us on our visit to apologise for the booking error (which understandably can happen), nor did anyone check up to see how our food was. Our table was cleared quite quickly when we finished, but again no follow up to see if we wanted anything else. The food was lovely and the portions were huge and well priced. Upon paying, we split our bill and paid at the bar, the gentleman behind the bar said we have to pay quickly. Customer service is severly lacking unless you are a regular, but I do not see how one would become a regular with such bad service.

Best Roast Locally! We’ve been here several times for Sunday roast, the kids absolutely loved it! My partner loved it as did I. My Roast Beef on both occasions was fantasticβ€”so tasty, cooked medium rare to perfection, with delicious veg, crispy potatoes, and rich gravy. Simply outstanding. I usually visit in the evenings for drinks, and the staff and beer are always on point. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with great views of the River Thames and a lovely garden at the rear. A huge thank you to Simon, Dhruv, and the team for making this such a great pub!

Went for Sunday Roast today. Had the roast beef which was fantastic as were all the trimmings. Our server, Olivia, was first class, polite, attentive, knowledgeable and very welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend

It is a cozy, lovely pub. The staff is always ready to assist you in anyway possible. They have a destinated area for dining and a separate area for drinks. You can watch the world cup perfectly, and enjoy a great tiny rebel on draft.

Absolutely in love with the place! Beautiful view of Thames, even more beautiful and delicious food (BBE: best burgers ever!) and amazing service. 100/10

disappointing Sunday Lunch. I looked at a variety of reviews for restaurants in the area and opted for The Bell Inn after having driven past the previous day and seeing it mentioned as "best sunday lunch" in various reviews and websites. We booked for 1.30pm and arrived to find a large wedding party just getting ready to leave, we waited at the door for about 10 minutes before being seated in the bar area, we sat for another 10-15 minutes before anyone came over to ask if we even had menus yet. Once we had menus and opted for three Trio Sunday Lunches, beef, gammon and pork. When we finally got our meals I had one small dried up bit of pork and a very thick chunk of beef and a couple of bits of gammon. The gammon was very nice, the beef was very tough and seemed to have been reheated, it had grill marks on it as if it had been roasted in the oven, then carved, and then reheated on the grill. Never seen this in a Sunday Roast before and it made the beef feel very overcooked. The worst part of the meal, however, was the gravy, the meat all being overcooked so they drenched the whole meal in gravy, it was very thick, tasteless gravy with a shine that looked like it had been heavily thickened with corn flour. Overall just very bland and entirely disappointing. Then it came to paying the bill and finding each carvery charged at Β£19.65. The price on both the menu and the website was listed as Β£16.95. When we queried this it took another 10 mins to fix and we got told it was a misprint in the menu. Even though the website states the same price....very strange but urge future visitors to check their bill. On top of that it was Β£10 for a glass of merlot and Β£6 for a bottle of non-alcoholic Cider (the most I paid this weekend for a similar bottle in the area was Β£3.90).

I have given two stars because the manager was very apologetic and seemed to be doing all he could to run the pub with the staff he had to work woth Unfortunately for the manager on his second week. It seems he was let down by some of his staff. He was searching for the Chef when we got there, the order don’t go through properly. So we were also waiting ages. Salad and cheese missing the Vegan burger which they didn’t have, but failed to mention this to us. Sweet Potato fries were normal Fries and hard to eat Tasteless curry, burnt Naan bread . Raw Garlic in the Camembert starter and the waitress didn’t bring us any plates initially . The manager did give the main meal on the house but it’s not the point I’d rather just pay for good decent food.

The Bell is a nice pub that overlooks the Thames on the A308 at Hampton. We booked a meal tonight and I had Steak salad which was ok, but I chose truffle chips as I had them at the Hurtwood Inn in Surrey and they were unbelievable. These unfortunately did not have any taste of truffle, so would not waste Β£6 on them again. My wife had a burger which was nice, but chips were just warm, not hot. My son with his meal had sweet potato chips and they looked quite burnt. I still gave a tip at the end because the front of house staff were nice and friendly. It’s just the chefs that need a lot of improvement.
