I loved the Christmas tree, the fire and the friendly vibes. The staff were really friendly and helpful answering questions about my gluten sensitivity. All my friends loved the pub and the food was very nice. We were seated in a quieter area, which was perfect for me as I have a chronic illness. My dog and my friend's children seemed happy there too.

A nice pub with lots of space and areas to suit parties of all sizes. Food was slightly basic but tasty if a little overseasoned. Went at lunchtime midweek so it wasn’t the best time to measure atmosphere but the staff were friendly and attentive. Food was very reasonably priced. Definitely a good option for dining on a budget.

Lunch at this well appointed venue in Surbiton. I arrived a little early but the service throughout was excellent. The starter was their take on an antipodean dish which I’ve sampled many times and reviewed in New Zealand. Not bad but it was more creamy mushrooms near toast than on toast. The beef suet pie was an excellent winter warmer,

I’m not one to write a bad review but felt I needed to say something. I came to the Victoria with mum and we initially ordered the pie each but a couple mins later were informed the pies were β€œstuck in the lift” which was out of their control so we didn’t mind. We opted for new items which did take quite a while to come and I just felt gutted seeing my meal appear (see picture below). For Β£17/18 I didn’t feel it was up to standard / price for the portion size and no veg included. So was very disappointed. The refurb looks lovely but has a few practical issues, the second issue for us was the bar team had to carry the glass trays through the restaurant into garden (assuming their glass wash is out there) so constantly a cold draft from the door opening and people also only using that door to enter from the garden and also the new cut outs in the walls add to the cold feeling, I’d really recommend getting a heater as I had to give my scarf to my mum as a blanket and myself put my coat back on. Just was overall quite disappointed with the experience and would probably only return for a drink which is sad as mum’s just moved to the area and we were considering a Christmas booking. Bartender who took our food order was lovely and always lots of staff on hand to order a drink but lacking a little in restaurant service. Context for cold comments: I am in my late 20s & mum in 60s.

My partner and I hired out a space in The Victoria for our leaving party and we had such an amazing experience. We initially booked the outside space however due to the weather being awful, they were able to move us inside last minute. Millena the manager was so helpful and was there for any assistance throughout the day, and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. Everyone had such a great day. The drinks and food from the burger shack was amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of hiring out a space for a party!

I visited The Victoria Surbiton for a Sunday Roast and I was very impressed by their food and service. The roast beef was tender and juicy, the Yorkshire pudding was huge and fluffy, and the gravy was rich and flavourful. The portions were generous and the sides were delicious too. I especially liked the cauliflower cheese. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend The Victoria Surbiton to anyone looking for a traditional British pub with great food and atmosphere.

This is now a warm and friendly pub for hip kids, cool families and business exec types alike. It's seriously changed since its days as an 'old mans' pub' (not that there's owt wrong with those, but this metamorphosis in a time when many establishments are struggling is a delight to behold!). The food is a little pricey but portions are good and the food, for pub food, has a healthy streak: home-cooked food with nutritional value in the main. The pub boasts a lovely outdoor area as well as a good whisky selection and you don't need to wrap up as though you're about to go on a trip to Antarctica when you head off to use the toilet (I am a fan of a warm ladies loo!). All-in-all, a pub deserving of support from clientele, we feel.

Visited for a family meal. Wonderful atmosphere, close to station & beautiful decor. Best of all the staff were incredibly welcoming, kind and attentive - and served some great hearty food.

Popped in this lunchtime - first time I've visited this pub. Great place with fab food - staff really nice too I came here with my daughter and her new baby. There was plenty of room for the pram and plenty of privacy for feeding.
