I’ve had a wonderful Christmas Day, it was capped off by a lovely dinner and cocktails at the Popeʼs. Despite it clearly being quite busy the staff were nevertheless able to attend to my group’s needs in good time. The food was great, the atmosphere was nice, drinks arrived well made and on time. I’d like to say thank you and merry Christmas to the whole staff, thanks for the day.

I had such a wonderful experience dining here. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. A special shout out to our servers, Freddie and Eilidh, who were both exceptional. They were attentive without ever feeling intrusive, genuinely friendly, and made us feel right at home throughout the meal. Their thoughtful touches and kindness really elevated the whole experience. Our pup was spoiled with an abundance of kisses and head scratches! Overall, amazing food, excellent service, and an atmosphere filled with warmth and care. Highly recommended!

Had a great meal with friends. I’m vegetarian and I had the plant burger; always delicious. My friends had the steak and they enjoyed it. Service was excellent from Eilidh and Freddie. The desserts were mouth watering.. I had the cheesecake (as always), but the brownie and orange cake also looked yummy.

Had Sunday lunch with a friend and both if us were very happy. I had the roast beef and the portion size was perfect. It tasted delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative for me was as a disabled person, (not in wheelchair), I pressed the button to call assistant forthe lift, as advertised but noone came. Was waiting around outside till I saw a waiter clearing tables and spoke to him. He was helpful and sorted a temporary ramp. Would advise any disabled people to arrange ahead of going. But all else was enjoyable.

This hotel/pub it was a nice random place that surprised us with a delicious burger and a nice kind of relaxing atmosphere. Kind of because it is by the main road, but relaxing because it was sunny, you can see Thames river over the road and enjoy a pint and some food. The staff was friendly, quite helpful, and polite even they were massively understaffed and they were running all over. The management should do their job better and not exploy their people, but ot might be the exception as it was a sunny day and lots of people joined us so this time I will not consider this in my review. We will update it if we return, and it will be a similar situation. Parking is available on the back of the hotel or on the side streets, but with limited access.

My friend and I stopped by the AP on our way back from Strawberry Hill House (just down the road), where we had enjoyed our visit so much the onsite cafe was shut. All local cafes close early on Sundays so we chose the AP. It was busy with people eating / drinking but after ordering and paying for our drinks at the bar, we managed to find an empty table to enjoy our drinks. Dog friendly in bar area.

Very spacious and friendly pub. It’s in a beautiful location by the river, and has plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor. I haven’t eaten here (only had drinks) but the menu looks good. Staff were friendly and toilets were clean.

Had a lovely dinner here with my boyfriend. The prices aren't bad and the steaks were delicious!

After growing up in Twickenham for most of my life I had never visited the Alexander Pope Pub until a few months ago and since, we have visited on three separate occasions. The booking system is extremely easy to use and when you turn up for the booking the staff are very helpful and accommodating to help you find a table that suits you (if available). They are dog friendly as we had two dogs within our group, and this caused no issues at all. The food we ordered on all occasions was exceptional and we have no faults. The only minor comment is one time there was a delay in the kitchen times due to a private party. They notified us of this and told us an estimated time and provided us with a free drink because of this, which we would have been happy without. The staff, food and atmosphere are great and a highly recommend a visit.

We booked for a Rugby Autumn Internationals booking (specific option on the booking page) which was supposed to include a free round of Guinness when you dine. You'd also think it included a table in front of a screen to actually watch the sport. Turned up, the sport wasn't even on on the TV, and the table we had was miles away from a screen. Asked them to turn the rugby on which they did begrudgingly, but no sound (just blaring music at 5.30pm on a saturday) despite asking twice. Seems completely stupid to offer such a package and then not be set up for it. Sat there for ages, nobody came to serve us. We ended up moving ourselves to a better table and just ordering from the bar/the app. Food selection was terrible, orders were wrong and they seemed to stop serving food at one point between 7-8pm. Drinks over priced. Staff very slow and didn't seem particularly attentive and were just all chatting to each other. Shame because the pub is really nicely decorated and ambience is nice.
