I visited Richmond at the end of October and we had lunch at this pub. I have been back home in the US for about 6 weeks and I am still dreaming of the meal we had here! The mushroom toast appetizer was DELICIOUS. As was everything else, and the service was great. I am already trying to plan my next trip there and Old Ship will be at the top of my “must visit” list. I love it and I love Richmond!

The Old ship is a classic lunch time spot in Richmond. They have a lot of space both down and upstairs, with the upstairs being an unbelievable event space. We come regularly for lunch and it never fails. As a gluten free man the cider battered fish and chips went down a treat, as well as the pint in the picture below ‘Bandit’. One of nicest gluten free pints I have had in years.

I recently visited The Old Ship on a Sunday evening and was absolutely charmed by the place. The atmosphere is incredibly cosy and the decor is very cool. The background music was at the perfect volume, allowing us to enjoy the sound and have a proper conversation at the same time. I was with my husband and we ordered the Old Ship Ploughman's (a dish quite different for us brazilians) which was really tasty! We also had a couple of beers, and my husband said the Bandit was the best beer he had in London! The service is very attentive. A special mention goes to the staff member who brought the plate to our table, he was exceptionally friendly and smiley, which really stood out. I loved the place! And If I ever return to London, I will definitely stop by.

Brilliant traditional pub. The atmosphere here is incredible the person serving was so helpful and friendly. They even have a real fire. The prices for drinks are good with a large selection to suit all. The food menu is large and in my opinion very reasonable prices. It's and old charm style with lots of wood and traditional fixtures and fittings. This all goes to creat a warm friendly relaxed atmosphere. To the best if my knowledge there was a step rato the disabled toilets. So if you fancy a coffee or wine even a traditional beer then you will not be disappointed.

A nice pub in Richmond for drinks in couples or groups. We sat upstairs and they had lots of screens showing the football like downstairs seemed to, so good place for live football also. Good wine menu, but the portion size on the side order of chips for £5 was quite small.

Stopped into The Old Ship for the first time earlier this week for lunch and a few pints with friends and I'm very glad we did. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was extremely charming, and the food was excellent. I recommend the "bacon and cheese puff pastry twirls" as well as the "pork and caramelised onion sausage roll." Will return next time I'm in the area, no doubt.

Staff were very nice and helpful in choosing beers, unfortunately my roast meal was a bit salty, especially the gravy. +10 for presentation just food should not only look good, but taste good :) I'd probably give 4* not 5, but the bar staff were very nice, and service was very efficient, hence I hope that next time the gravy will be better :)

Really great food, lovely service and a nice location. Try to book a table in advance as it gets quite full. Definitely book in for a roast dinner, very tasty food. The vegan options are also delicious. Very reasonable prices and a good range of drinks. Some sports games on the TVs, toilets available, stairs to seating upstairs.
