   We’ve got 2 girls, age 9 and 11, and for the last 3 birthdays we’ve been back to do different rooms. They’re a bit tricky for the younger one on her own, but as part of a team there’s puzzles she can solve. The older one is now faster than us at figuring some them out! We’ve booked the last room for later in the summer for the eldest’s 12th birthday. You’ll need at least one adult, as the difficulty level of some of the individual puzzles is ‘teenager plus’. The staff are always super helpful and welcoming. As a slight negative the rooms are ‘well used’ and could do with a bit of a refresh. Takes it down to maybe a 4.8 out of 5! All the rooms we’ve done so far get you thinking laterally as individuals but can’t be solved unless you work together as a team. So really cool for a family / social event, but equally good for team building for a work day out. Hints are available for when you get stuck. The puzzle format varies (mechanical, mathematical, observational, verbal, logic reasoning, lateral thinking, visual) , so if you’ve done one room you’ll still have a completely new experience in the other rooms. We’ll certainly be going back whenever they open new rooms.

   My company arranged a visit to these guys. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the intro video made everything clear, and my team (aided by Rowan) were soon searching for clues in our room 'Betrayal of Cluetankhamun'. We seemed to be getting on really well, but then got stuck and didn't get out in time - no big deal as we all had a cool time nonetheless.

   Never been to an escape room before and my husband surprised me with one for our first wedding anniversary. We booked a difficult escape room which was unknown to us both. Steve our games host was amazing spoke to us about it and we changed to Cluetankhamun. Steve was very helpful. It exceeded our expectations. We had a good laugh and completed with 12seconds to go. An amazing experience and I would tell anyone to give it ago you will be surprised how fun it truly is. Definitely be doing another escape room. Lovely bonding experience.

   Had a fantastic experience here today. We played the CSI: Panic Room game and managed to escape. Nice structure to the game as you have to find specific pieces of evidence to solve the crime. Good mix of tricky parts and innovative games, with clues given at the right moment to make sure we had fun rather than getting hopelessly stuck. Steve, our Gamesmaster was lovely and went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. Thanks!

   Did the Egyptian room with wife and 4 grown children. We really enjoyed all of the puzzles. There was a great range, a good story and an ideal difficulty level. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would strongly recommend Clue HQ Harrogate.
