“My company arranged a visit to these guys. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the intro video made everything clear, and my team (aided by Rowan) were soon searching for clues in our room 'Betrayal of Cluetankhamun'. We seemed to be getting on really well, but then got stuck and didn't get out in time - no big deal as we all had a cool time nonetheless.”

“Beautiful park, amazing trees and plants. Had a funfair in park if you have little ones. Live music and has tennis courts and mini golf. Not sure if fair and live music on all time but we went on Sunday 27th July.”

“Went here for tea. As you walk in, you are greeted by a friendly member of the team, and it gets better from there. All the staff are great and welcoming. Food is amazing with great choices of greek cuisine and a great atmosphere. Would be wise to book, as although not over busy when we went, i imagine it can be.”

“This hotel is ideally located a 5 minute walk from Hornbeam Park train station, so it's easy to get a train to Harrogate centre, Knaresborough, York or Leeds. There is ample parking. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was clean, comfortable bed and pillows, good shower (overwhelmed bath). Good breakfast options.”

“My son did a High Ropes Experience for Nicas participants at Ripley castle - he is doing his Nicas 3 at the moment and it was nice for him to practice the skills he has learnt at the climbing wall outside and with different climbers. Sophie was leading the group and she kept the kids engaged and involved despite differing levels of skill - Would definitely be interested in doing these again in the future!”

“Such an incredible and unique experience! We loved the caves - they are breathtaking. Lovely little caffe and a great gift shop too! The staff are great and helpful. Definitely plan in advance how you will get here - if you are relying on public transport it would be best to sort that out first before booking! Great for an array of ages although some spaces can be quite tight and you have to bend over quite a bit (I’m about 5’5) - so that is just something to keep in mind. However for all who are fit and able, I highly recommend a visit :)”

“The Stray is a huge area of open land in Harrogate, but at this time of year most people are visiting one particular section of it which is the avenues of blossom trees. It was very dull and overcast yesterday morning when I visited but there were lots of visitors, all trying for the perfect photos. The trees really are spectacular; the majority are well-established mature trees but there seems to be a program of planting as I spotted a couple of areas with fair young trees. I’m so pleased that I was able to see them in full bloom, even if it wasn’t ideal conditions for photos.”

“Great circular walk, took us 3 hours to do at a slow pace. Easy enough for children and some great views on the way”

“We’ve been to the Harrogate Pizza Express a few times, but our most recent visit was extra amazing. Firstly, the food and drinks were delicious, but what really made the visit special was the excellent service. We had a wonderful waitress, I didn’t catch her name but she had red glasses and short hair. She was exceedingly helpful and observant, and put a smile on all of our faces. I hope that our next visit can be just as great as this one, thank you.”

“This tiny, tiny takeaway / restaurant Serves YUMMY Food. Shared two meals for two ( Hot mesez and mixed grill) and greek salad (not on picture) with my teaching colleagues on Sunday evening. We were all absolutely STUFFED. Could not finish it. Relaxed greek music, bottle of wine, coffee. Cost us about £65 for our table so about £16 each. Love the place. Been back again tonight, 7 of us. This time.”

“So happy we came across this cafe. The food was delicious, good quality and very good value. Lovely coleslaw and side salad with sandwiches. The cafe is clean and nicely decorated. Staff members were eager to please. We almost had lunch at the RHS garden (overpriced IMO), so glad we didn't. Thank you!”
