If you ever visit Harrogate do this tour first! Harry's enthusiasm and knowledge of his home town is a gateway to further explore the town on your own. Harry's passion for Harrogate is infectious. We took his tour on our last day of a short break and we feel we need to return to Harrogate in order to this beautiful town justice. Thank you Harry we will be back!

A wonderful tour. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide Harry, who really loves what he does. Lots of great local stories, and stories that link to the British and world history. A great experience and absolutely free. The little facts about the origins of well known English expressions are worth it alone. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

Harry is amazing. He told us lots of interesting facts about Harrogate and showed us all the sites. He had everybody engaged and even had a little dog bowl of water for Brownie xx

I had a Saturday tour with Harry the amazing guide. Since it was Saturday I had the privilege of joining both part 1 that left at 12 pm (historical site seeing) and part 2 at 13:30 (important people and unique stories). I really enjoyed Harry’s explanations and route we had. The tours are completely FREE but Harry was really knowledgeable and nice, he remembered the participants names and was genuinely interested in their stories. If you happen to come to Harrogate I really recommend joining his tours, you can see most of Harrogate and the walk is easygoing.

IF YOU ARE IN HARROGATE, DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR. Plain and simple, this should be your #1 thing to do when you arrive in Harrogate. I had no idea the history of Harrogate or the surrounding area. Harry is a consummate professional guide/story teller and master of his craft. He is equally skilled in being able to remember each and every member of the tours name. I was amazed at his ability to connect with everyone quickly, make sure they enjoy themselves and feel part of the group. If you are in a bad mood or tired.... you will not be after meeting Harry. His energy is infectious and you cannot help but be in a better mood after joining the tour. We were with our children and they enjoyed it too. If you are in a wheelchair or scooter do not worry. Harry knows exactly how to navigate the streets of Harrogate to make sure you can see all of the tour. I only wish we were in town longer to join his Boozy tour. A sincere thank you to Harry for the best day of our month long tour of Europe.

If you only have time to do one thing in Harrogate, go on Harry’s tour. Super informative and really got the sense that Harry not only cares about the history of Harrogate but is also an integral part of the community. Had a great time and will be recommending to friends.

A walking tour In a historic town, what could be better?  Many would say, "A free walking tour in a historic town!"  Volia!  There you have it.  What would make it even better:  history, knowledge, excitement, empathy, thought-provoking conversation.  All true. But what, I ask you, could make it even better?  Imagine all of this, while guided by a celebrity!  Now, there is no celebrity as we know the word.  However, if you imagine it, you may see who I saw throughout the entire tour.  The delivery, jokes, quips candor, all took me back to one person I admire. We were in town for the night.  My wife researched and found this Free Walking Tour.  We thought it was a great idea.  Our young kids had thoughts of their own.  We were late, as we are for most things.  The tour had already begun.  I was ready to turn back.  My wife and kids just jumped in.  Naturally I followed and was immediately, welcomed and greeted. Expect to learn something Expect to laugh Expect to question, ponder & discuss Expect the time to disappear Expect to want more We did the tour on the morning of our departure.  Obviously that was a mistake.  If you are visiting, definitely take the tour near the beginning of your stay, so you have time to revisit the sites from the tour.  We were amazed with this town, its history and the inspiring excitement as its story was unfolded for us. We will be back to this town.  We are definitely taking this tour again!
