All the reservoirs along the Washburn Valley are really low in water, following the dry spell in 2025

Sunday 15th June Parking has changed, so check before you walk. Also some of the walk has changed as there are a lot of fallen trees, the previous route we took has changed. Great walks and views around the reservoir, the lowest water level we have ever seen.

Great circular walk, took us 3 hours to do at a slow pace. Easy enough for children and some great views on the way

We had a nice walk along the main wall of the reservoir on a Friday evening in July 2022. The water level was very low when we visited. So much so that building remains of a village that the reservoir covered could be seen. The car park is well kept and is currently free, however signs were displayed saying that later this year parking will be subject to a small charge. The sign mentioned buying an annual parking pass for £30 as a possible future option.
