The food is delightful, as is the atmosphere. The service is lame; after 90 minutes’ wait and other tables who arrived after finishing their meal, there was no realisation that our food order hadn’t been delivered. As we left, the manager expressed ‘sorry it didn’t work out for you’ - which is evidence of their careless approach.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere and top service. Serves great sharing plates of food and a good selection of wine.
I’ve recently moved into the Surbiton area and have steadily made my way around the various eateries that Surbiton and Kingston have to offer. I’d say this is probably the best food I’ve had in the area and I’d fully recommend those looking for a quality place to make the stop. 5/5
Great place for breakfast. Classic breakfast dishes made well and great service at a fair price. The staff are very attentive especially when it comes to refilling the bottomless filter coffee! Highly recommended.
Lovely pub with delicious, simple food and bottomless coffee. A real sense of community. I drop by on Saturday mornings here and then, when my son rehearses. And occasionally, I bring my son over for a full English breakfast after his lesson
Can't really fault this place. Popped in for a catch up with friends. The food was tasty and a nice varied tapas menu. The service was top notch, and great drinks menu and value for money. Will definitely return and would recommend. Thank you!
We had a lovely experience a week before, we ordered the tempranillo and thoroughly enjoyed the wine. Came back a week later with guests and ordered the same wine. Our waitress didn't ask if we would like to taste it and poured 4 glasses. After drinking about 3 sips I realized this was not the wine we ordered. So went and spoke to the manager who, admitted that they had run out of the wine we ordered and had substituted another without advising us. Apparently, they serve whatever is delivered, not what is on the wine list! I complained and sent the wine back and ordered an alternative bottle. They refused to take it off the bill despite serving us a wine we didn't order nor drink! That is completely without exception the worst customer experience I have had in a wine bar. Used to be the place to go to entertain friends for a great night out experience. Shame the staff's lack of customer care ensured I won't be back.
First time and yet lived locally for many years. Absolutely unbeatable service - so attentive and coming to the tables which I believe if it were my business too, is now the way forward. We were never without a drink and the whole evening was fantastic. A pub but of more a bar type feel and food and service. Recommended.
Nice relaxing atmosphere with a cosy vibe to it. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly. The tapas food was tasty too!
