I used to love this pub - been coming here for over 25 years but hadn't visited in the last few years. Disappointed by the refurbishment that has taken away it's old character. Food was standard and overpriced - have a look at the £17.50 veggie burger in the photo. The only other veg option was a literal half cabbage with sauce and crispy onions - nothing else, also for £17.50. I mean, is this a joke? Service was slow, but it looked like they didn't have enough staff that evening, so fair enough - the guy serving us was brilliant though. What a shame, this used to be a unique pub!

Tried the baked Camembert tonight and it was honestly incredible. The cheese was perfectly gooey, the bread was fresh and warm, and the dips were spot on. Nina recommended having it with the garlic butter, and wow; absolute game changer. Such a simple addition but it made the whole dish amazing. Would 100% order again!

Poor quality beef in the roast. Seem a few others have commented on the low quality in recent reviews. Wish I had seen them prior to ordering. Large sections were inedible and left on the plate. Also left the veg was light and there should have been more. Before the pub reply and say something along the lines of had we been made aware at the time we could have replaced it. Your chefs should be fully aware when they're cooking and serving. Management will be aware because they're making savings on what they're buying.

A really friendly, warm and inviting pub with an amazing view. The staff made me feel very comfortable even dining alone. The food was such a treat, lovely flavours, great quantity and brilliant value.

One of our local pubs - and it really delivered on our recent visit. We had a gorgeous Sunday roast - every course was spot on. From the starters right through to dessert, the food was consistently great. I had the porchetta for my main, and it was absolutely delicious - easily one of the best roasts I’ve had in a long time. The meat was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. For dessert, I had the prune panna cotta - lovely flavour and a perfect wobble. Cocktails were decent too, making it a well-rounded and satisfying meal.

Lovely riverside pub. Lots of room inside but doesn't lose its old fashioned charm. Service was great. Sunday roast was fabulous. Will certainly return.

Cozy place along the water in the laid back neighbourhood of Chiswick. Decoration is nice, and the place has a feel of ancient UK, a place where time stood still. The Sunday roast is copious and pretty good, although pretty simple also. Price seems to be a bit on the higher side. 4 stars because it's good but not exceptional. Would definitely not mind coming back there!

Lovely pub right on the riverbank in Chiswick. The tables outside overlooking the river are only available on FCFS basis, but they have a few nice river view tables inside as well. The management was nice enough to give us one of these tables even though our reservation was for the tables facing the carpark. Coming to food, the lamb shoulder was lovely. Nice mint chutney, and some of the best potatoes I have tasted. The Yorkshire pudding could do with some improvement. Pork belly and Sea Bream Fillet were nice as well, as was the Tempura Softshell crab.

Lovely pub, right by the Thames. There is also a back garden/terrace so plenty of options to enjoy the sun. The food was delicious and very affordable, and the staff was friendly

We had friends visiting from the Midlands and took them to our favourite pub on the Strand on the Green end of the Thames! Great menu and lovely staff. Never had a bad meal or experience. Beautiful interiors and a few premium tables next to the river for outdoor weather. On this occasion had a Sunday roast but the fish and chips aren't to be missed! Best in W4!
