Nice pub right in the village, staff were friendly, good selection of beers and the juke box is a great addition.
Very friendly Pub, the Staff were friendly and welcoming too. The beer was excellent and reasonably priced. I often visit this pub when in the area, there is some interesting history attached to this Public House, the actor Oliver Reed used to drink here, it was one of his locals as he only lived around the corner. Highly recommend a visit.
Can seem alarmingly loud from the street - the locals love to sing! But in fact our group had a warm reception and we enjoyed good ale plus some historical anecdotes (and a poem) relating to this and other local pubs. A rough in the diamond, but welll worth a visit.
Old, musty, dark, sticky tabled pub in need of a good clean. First visit for 45 years and felt transported back to 1978. Kronenbourg a plus point however..

Great experience due to the atmosphere between the welcoming barstaff and locals making the whole experience of my visit memorable will definitely visit again and decided that this will be my local and would advise anyone to check out this historic pub which has its own traditional style that brings you a Happy evening had by all. Thankyou very much to the proprietor and the girls that keep everyone smiling. Looking forward to the next time. The karaoke and live bands are well worth a visit.
Good for a quiet drink - you won't be disturbed. Not the cleanest of joints but definitely friendly!
