   No food here but they have crisps and nuts. It's a perfect little place to meet friends as it's quiet and has a booth seated garden. Covered with heating. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly. The man behind the bar took some time to crack a smile but we kept working on him and eventually he did. Lovely man. The ladies are always friendly and quick. The toilets are a little dated and cold but we are never in them long so it's not terrible. The fireplace is pretty and comfortable in the winter and feels really cosy. It can get loud if there are sports on. Football or rugby but it gives the place a little spirit. We walk here often. Parking is difficult but can be lucky at the front or up the road in the street parking. Guinness is perfectly poured and the red wine is good. What more could you want.

   Lovely sidestreet local's pub with a beer garden at rear. Loses a star as no cask beer but friendly staff and customers. Long may the Palmerston prevail.

   Great local pub! Always a great atmosphere and the owner and staff are superb. Shame the only downside is the moaning neighbours who moan about it being a pub… despite buying a house next to a pub. Couldn’t make it up

   Hidden gem found this afternoon near Carshalton Station. Nice bar, really friendly land lady and excellent Guinness. Just moved to the area and think I’ve found my new local. Best Guimness in town, no question. Thanks for the warm welcome too!
