    A great traditional award winning community pub with a great selection of real ales. What is excellent is that you can see which ales are going to available over the next four weeks. Other than crisps, peanuts etc, they don't serve food. Children are not allowed, dogs are welcome.

    Good place for a group of blokes to have a chat and a few beers. Sport on the tvs and a very good selection of beers and larger at excellent prices ie cheap compared to most pubs. Staff good and know their locals/regulars. Would go again but not the type of place to take a lady for a night out.

    I don't think the Claret serves food. It sells very a good selection of beer and has a cosy old school feel about it.

    So rude, we sat down just deciding what we wanted to drink, one of the staff comes over and said “You do realise we’re a pub, if you want to stay you have to buy something.” It hadn’t even been two minutes since we sat down! I believe he spoke to us like this because we’re young, don’t speak to young customers like this if you want our service in the future.

    Proper boozer full of old school British punters. Prices great and staff very friendly plus the decor is great. Show the sports too. £4.20 a fosters is great in today's climate Would be my local if I lived closer but I pop in occasionally on the way home from work.

    Basic pub, went at lunchtime and It seemed to be a blokes pub. TV screens with the volume turned down. Good selection of cask ales at reasonable prices.
