not happy when I went in last time, a british lady always does my nails and shes amazing at doing my gel nails and shes very nice but this time she was unavailable so mai did my nails for me. she kept jumping from me to another client when i came in first! the painting was rushed, my dead skin did not get removed and didn’t put any oil at the end and there was gel nail polish all over my fingers from the back. the lady next to my was having her nails done and they were so perfect and the guy took a long time to do them and payed attention to the client unlike what i got. and to top it off when i sent a message on instagram telling them about my experience linking a video the message was seen and never replied to :) i wouldnt really recommend the salon unless ur getting ur nails done by that british lady other than that i wouldn’t recommend thank you

I am not happy with this place as my nails had grown out before i even had them for a week. 3 of my nails have snapped off from absolutely nothing, i did not mess with them nor did i wack them they just simply fell off. most my nails are wonky or not shaped right and are defiantly not worth the £38 i spent on them.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my wife, who is far too nice. Unfortunately, her experience at Mai Nails was nothing short of appalling. The visit began with a shocking display of casual racism: the technician remarked that my wife, who is of Asian heritage, “smelled like curry.” My wife, attempting to remain polite and not address this, asked for builder’s gel. She was ignored—not once, but twice. When she repeated her request, the technician abruptly swapped with someone else. (Probably because of her Asianness) The second technician was no better. As they reached for a nail polish colour, my wife repeated her request for builder’s gel. This time, she was met with condescension. The technician snapped, “I can’t read your mind; you have to tell me what you want,” as if my wife hadn’t already made herself perfectly clear. To make matters worse, the technician proceeded to cut my wife’s finger and didn’t bother to apologise. When she finally left, my wife discovered her nails were uneven, poorly shaped, and inconsistent between her hands. She is now searching for a new salon to fix this botched job. If you’re looking to pay £30 for racist remarks, dismissive attitudes, and subpar service, then by all means, visit Mai Nails.

Been going to Mai every 2-3 weeks for 6 years. I recently received a strange and not very nice text message from Mai advising me to go elsewhere from now on as it’s too much stress for her to do my nails this summer as I only book in with Mai doing my nails (which has always been the case) I was gobsmacked as she also thanked me for my long time support. I do find since moving shop she books in far too many clients and gets behind resulting in clients walking out. It all seems to be about making money these days and no customer service at all.

Great team always have a great gel polish with Mai. Been going here since 2018 when they were on the High Street. Peng, Kate and Bo all give 5 star service too. Always go above and beyond to make my nails look great. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Fantastic place, lovely staff, quick. Enjoy coming here whilst at work. Full English is amazing & cheap but brilliant quality & quantity.

Best sandwich shop around! Wide range of meats, bread, crisps and treats. Excellent quality product and very well made. It has fast become a Friday ritual and the place to go should I need to fill the void in the stomach.

Very good staff and especially the food is very tasty. I highly recommend you go for breakfast, which is very generous and the price is acceptable. We also recommend to go for sandwiches, fresh daily. It is a pleasant and acceptable, and all in a friendly environment. Therefore, we recommend to take time and go for breakfast or lunch.

Very friendly service, good choice of food and drinks, quickly made, and very spacious ! Perfect for a quick lunch break. We simply refer to this place as "Mexican Man", as the best topping for Jacket Potatoes is their Mexican Chicken, which is so good you'll want to write a google review on it, it's just amazeballs.
