Arrived at 11:55 for a 12:00 booking for lunch. Were told we were too early. Only some of the starters arrived and we had to chase. Main course arrived at 1:05. Good itself was good but the service chaotic

I went to The Pied Bull with my girlfriend and her sister and parents and I couldn’t fault it one bit. I ordered the chicken burger with chips while my girlfriend had the steak pie which was cooked to perfection. Proper pub food for offer that were reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to us, especially Daisy as she was our waitress throughout our time there. The whole place was really clean and cosy with classic 80’s and 90’s music that fit the vibe they’re going for. Great food and lovely atmosphere! Will definitely be coming back again soon!

It was our fault that on a Sunday afternoon didn't book a table for a roast, so feeling really hungry and this being the only available pub in the vicinity, therefore, we decided to eat here. The service is very slow and lots of their patrons were served before us even though we were there first. It took a while to even get the drinks going and the dirty dishes sat on the table for a long time before gerring the desserts. While the roast was okish the desserts were absolutely delicious.

A lovely authentic, traditional pub serving great value pub lunches. I had the fish and chips — perfectly crispy, well-cooked and a generous portion (I couldn’t even finish it!). My partner chose the lamb shank, which was cooked to perfection and served on a bed of creamy mash with a rich, delicious gravy. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and service was excellent throughout. It’s great to see The Pied Bull thriving again — it’s changed hands a few times since the pandemic, but it’s most definitely open and doing well. The place was busy with lunchtime trade, and there was even a wake taking place in the separate function room, all handled smoothly by the team. A proper pub with great food and atmosphere — highly recommended!

Really friendly staff. Good food (chicken burgers for two of the family and liver and mash for me) and excellent kids menu (proper chicken in the nuggets). Would recommend if you are in the area. Just be careful if you're tall as it's a traditional low ceiling pub.

Went in today for a drink and sat at the bar for approximately 25 minutes being totally ignored. I appreciate that the lady behind the bar was very busy but she didn’t even offer eye contact to acknowledge that we were there. When I brought this up to her she was very rude didn’t care and brushed me off! Absolutely disgusting attitude!!!

Popped in for lunch good lamb shank and beef stew. Had run out of our first choices but was 2pm. Would go again if in area and wanted to eat. Oh a nice open fire to keep you cosy

Nice local pub with good food. Easy access spacious car park which is important to me for taking my elderly mother. Just wish they had a few non picnic bench seats outside too then she could also sit outside. But anyway, it’s very nice inside.

£12.95 for the beed burger. Disappointingly for that lrice it doesn't come with cheese so have to pay extra if you want some. Chips was lovely and the onion rings were surprisingly nice. Orange juice was okay but my partner had a slice of orange and I didn't. Overall good experience.
