   Another Sunday, another roast dinner. Highland is a fairly run down restaurant and looks very dated & tired. Definitely needs a glow up. The food is fairly tasty, but mediocre. They serve carvery roast with all trimmings. A choice of starters & desserts and it’s 3 courses for £18.95, so fairly good value. All staff were friendly and attentive. Not necessarily somewhere I would visit again unfortunately.

   Always a pleasure coming here!!,nice white crisp napkins and tablecloths.Always feels you've come to somewhere special, which of course 'you have'. Staff always polite,friendly and helpful. Looking forward to my next visit !! Edit . Back again for a Sunday Carvery, spent a leisurely couple of hours or so ,enjoying the food and the atmosphere . And still very good value for money of under £20 for a superb 3 course meal

   Nice restaurant and good quality food not much choice for vegetarians or vegans and dessert menu not clearly marked to inform of vegan/veggie. We had Sunday roast carvery but no option of a nut roast or anything veggie that would go nice with gravy. Staff don't know either which desserts were veggie. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

   First visit to this place and a mixed experience. Firstly the positives, a couple of members of staff greeted us and both very friendly and pleasant throughout. The food portions were plentiful and so that was good. On to the negatives, my chicken dish was supposed to be served up with a risotto but I got plain rice. And secondly , my partner ordered a fillet steak dish, but as soon as they bought the dish to the table, we were both instantly concerned that it wasn't a piece of fillet and was more likely that they served us up a piece of sirloin.. Couldn't be bothered to mention it (more fool us) cos we were in a bit of rush and it was a blazing hot night and we wanted to eat up quickly.. Based on this first time visit to this establishment , we probably wouldn't return. Thanks.

   Went here for a work Christmas dinner. Wasn’t impressed at all. Table booked for 7:30 yet wasn’t served food till after 8:15 even though we had pre booked from their Christmas menu. My starter was the garlic mushrooms. Which was basically button mushrooms swimming in tinned mushroom soup that had had garlic added to it. My main was the turkey dinner. The meat was dry, the potatoes and vegetables were exceptionally salty and the Yorkshire pudding was very over cooked. My dessert was the lemon meringue that was soft almost soggy although I’m quite sure a meringue should be firm on the outside. Very disappointed especially as it was £36 per head. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

   Food was beautiful and wonderfully presented. Me and my husband had a lovely time. The staff were so lovely and accommodating and it had a really welcoming atmosphere.
