This is a lovely pub to bring friends to. I have given it limited stars this time only because it's new management is in progress of refurbishment. It looks a little dead but fair play to the guy with a new menu on Mediterranean lines, opened up when we arrived with a friend the and soon after, others also came in and he really worked miracles! The plates were cold and the food could have done with being warmer but hey, once he gets the right staff and whether permitting gets it straight, my hopes are high. There's still a wedding section and I recon with his zeal and the amazing surroundings and evident ancient history, it will be absolutely fantastic.

New management, Turkish owned and great menu. Best moussaka I've ever had. Some building work still going on when I was there, but what's been done so far is very stylish. Very friendly and helpful staff, hoping once established they will get some real ales on pump.

Stopped at this quiet little pub whilst in the area, and received excellent service and delicious food. Under new management this pub is a hidden gem that deserves more recognition.

Just went in there for the first time for Sunday lunch and will definitely go back. What a lovely pub! Real old charm. Food was great and good prices with very friendly staff. Dogs welcome and bouncy castle in the garden for the kids! Would definitely recommend.

Great country pub with friendly, warm and welcoming staff. Dog friendly, which is a big plus for those on country walks. Good menu selection. Prices reasonable Interesting fact, Guy Falwkes drank there!

The food was great. Home made food delicious. Very friendly hosts and at no point were you made to feel you had to hurry. Very relaxing atmosphere would definitely go again

Charming pub and staff but the worst roast I’ve had in a while. Beef was over-cooked and microwaved, all vegs from frozen.Extra raw onion was the only fresh food on the plate. The chef has clearly lost his/hers pride for his profession…

This place has so much potential. We have been coming for years and have been happy. We came back first time since summer 2020 ( due to Covid closures, not by choice). We were surprised to see that the garden only had 4 tables taken. We came around 7ish and were told the back garden will be shutting soon - around 7:30pm due to lack of staff. This is the part that’s child friendly - with a climbing frame, toys, bouncy castle. Parents heaven. The main reason why we came here. The other 3 families left, we moved to the front garden. I think the pub needs a change before it’s too late - it was a lovely sunny Saturday evening in June & the place was empty - such a shame as it’s lovely! Bring in the music, BBQ, use social media ( Insta/FB), go wild, bring the crowds back in - it’s Euro 2020, it should be rammed! This was my previous review - I have edited it & updated it. This place is perfect for families & everyone else - still stand by it. It is near Cruise Hill, off Whitewebbs Enfield area. It’s indoors, outdoors, accessible for buggies & wheel chairs - perfect. There’s toilets, not sure about the changing area. Kids can play, parents can rest. They serve food, but we didn’t eat on this occasion. There’s plenty of parking. Do go in & visit, it would be a big shame to loose this place. Hopefully they can make some changes based on everyone’s feedback. Happy to come back & re-review.
