We had a great night on our Christmas lunch/dinner here last night. Our group was 10+ and we had a great time. Friendly and professional staff, good food, nice atmosphere. Our hostess was excellent and also thanks to Gabriel for helping me set up the booking! The place was obviously very busy yet the service was great. Nice views as well.

Lovely pub and delicious British food overlooking the river. The pies and burgers looked great, I loved my Fish and chips just the right portion.

It’s just a standard English pub/bar, where all finance lads gather especially after work on Thursday evening. Prices are reasonable (I could even say cheap), it’s always packed, and mostly in my view, for corporate small/big gatherings. I am not expecting quality service but they are fast in preparing the orders. I have only tried chips, which were fine.

Location is good for Canary Warf - sadly it’s your standard formula type restaurant - I had the Rib Beef Pie - it lacked flavor although the mash and carrots were pleasant. Quite a bit of gristle it which maybe just the pie I received - however you can find much better pies. It’s fine for a stop off but I wouldn’t make it a destination. Service was friendly but young and needs better managerial direction.

The Henry Addington, on middle dock, Canary Wharf. Great Nicholson's pub in a modern building, creating a bit of old worlde charm. A super selection of beers, both cask and keg. Great service and a good place to drink. There is a lot of seating inside and a number of outside tables for the warm weather. Come along and enjoy a pint.

Could do better. Came at noon on a Saturday to order a few lunch sharers, was told out of stock for fish platter so ordered a landlords platter instead with a few additional starters and drink. Service was overall good but quality of food was ok - food did taste quite salty and a bit dry. Personally I like good coffee and this is not a place for it, ordered one, tasted like lukewarm tea - airplane coffee seemed better.... Considering this joint is opposite Morgan Stanley, would have thought the food quality would be of a higher bar. Guess not, came out and walked past a different restaurant/bar next to this pub, seemed a lot livelier and more people. 3/5 at the highest.

Waltham Abbey, Essex ★★★☆☆
A very mediocre pub. Service is very matter-of-fact. From what I saw, staff hardly smile at all and give no interaction with customers whatsoever. Fairly pricy, although I guess that goes with the area. Pub is quite clean and spacious. Tables and chairs fairly comfortable. Overall, I probably would recommend other places to go for a pint. But unfortunately many pubs in Canary Wharf seem to closed down completely. So there’s not too much choice.
