Some of the staff are lovely. But most of them are not. Staff are on the phone via earphones regularly, don't listen when you ask for something behind the counter and if they do, they still never actually listen and give the wrong amount. In a recent incident, the staff member at the till didn't do the process right for us to pay and acted like it was our fault that we couldn't pay. Said that he had to serve the next customer etc when it was his fault in the first place. On top of that, they sell out of date products regularly. We picked up a bakery product today and when we got home, we realised it was over 10 days out of date. A day or two would be understandable in my eyes, but over 10 is ridiculous.

Second edit: It may have taken some time to find the correct avenues to go through, but I’ve finally managed to report this store to trading standards for illegally advertising stock for cheaper prices on the shelves than what they then charge you at the till. I have also added (although unfortunately trading standards don’t deal with these issues they have pointed me in the right direction of who does) that one of the gentleman (although I wouldn’t call him that) working in the store is both extremely rude, insulting and uses threatening behaviour towards customers. This has now been passed on to the correct department to handle this situation. AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY IN THIS STORE! Absolutely horrendous customer service skills from one of the guys that works here. How he thinks it’s okay to speak to customers the way he does is beyond me. Complaint pending with head office, awaiting a call from the owner to see how this is dealt with. I will update my review once I hear the outcome. Edit: After speaking with Nisa head office, I was advised that my complaint (along with my personal details) would be passed to the manager (who in this instance, I know is called Adam). I waited a few days for a call or email from Adam to advise me how he is handling my complaint. That phone call or email never came. I therefore decided to go into the store when Adam was present to see if anything would be brought up with me, it wasn’t. He has completely ignored my complaint, which is a slight surprise to me as I believed he would be fair enough to at very least contact me regarding the complaint. I’m not sure now where to go or who to talk too, but I will absolutely be finding out how to take my complaint higher (as the whistleblowing procedure works) I will not allow that employee to speak to me the way he did and not apologise at the very least. Had the manager contacted me, an apology would’ve been all I asked for. Now that they seem to deem it acceptable to ignore a complaint from head office regarding a regular customer, I will fight tooth and nail to ensure this guy is never able to present that disgusting behaviour towards a customer ever again. In the meantime, I will never ever spend a penny in this store again. We have a coop in our area, the staff in that store are absolutely lovely and go above and beyond to ensure the customers receive fantastic customer service. Trading standards here I come, let’s hope you’ve updated your prices as I’m fully aware many of the prices you see for things on the shelves are not what you’ll actually be charged when at the till. ALWAYS use a calculator in this store and ask for a receipt with EVERY purchase, they regularly overcharge people.

Handy for essentials if you're local or in the area but staff watch you with deep suspicion even when you're literally standing at the counter trying to pay. Had my purchase whipped away behind the counter so I couldn't steal it. Yet if I'd been planning to steal a 39p bag of crisps I wouldn't have taken them to the counter in the first place. Apparently I'm not the only one, half the local residents are barred for a range of horrific misdemeanours such as touching the stock and coughing too loudly.
