10 of us had lunch in the private dining room. The oval table was perfect. We could all see and hear one another. The food was not your average ‘pub grub’ and the staff , especially Paula, were amazing.
We loved visiting here yesterday after wanting to come for a while. It really did live up to expectations. The staff were so helpful and attentive with the kids and went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. The food was great too and I loved the decor and roaring fire. Can't wait to visit again : )
We are coming here definitely once in a month, sometimes more often and we love the atmosphere in The Fox. If we’re coming either for a drink or for a dinner the service is always the same, nice approach to the costumers. Dinner we had yesterday was really amazing, and starters,and mains, and desert. Highly recommend the salmon, it was so delicious… And a very good thing about this place is that they always add new food options in the menu.
Excellent! Friendly and helpful staff. Great menu with a lovely selection of quality and varied food to choose from - but not too much - so you can make a good choice (although it's all good!) Food was well presented, fresh, tasty and really delicious. A thoroughly enjoyable meal and a warm and pleasant atmosphere with great staff. Highly recommended! Also looks like there's other interesting events happening here so make sure you make a visit soon. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
First visit to The Fox and we loved it. We absolutely loved the decor and soft furnishings especially the 2 orange easy chairs. Our waiter even though young was really sweet and friendly. Service a little slow but nice not to feel rushed. Food was superb and loved the scotch egg. Very reasonably priced and tasty bottle of red wine. 2 course and a bottle of wine for 2 was £90 including tip. Will be definitely be back.
Owners are really friendly and helpful. Not a huge choice of beers. We ate in the garden. Easy parking.
At the end of the night the manager or owner (not sure exactly of the title), screamed from the other side of the room “CAN YOU JUST GET A MOVE ON”. She was out of sight and out of shock I asked the waitress if that was aimed at us and she said we were the only ones left. It was 15 minutes to closing time so there was no need for the aggressive behaviour. A polite “we’re closing soon” would have been nice. I was very shocked as before that i thought the chef and food was amazing and i mentioned to my boyfriend I’d love to make this our regular after moving down the road a few weeks back. I have never experienced anything like this… Such a shame as the chef was amazing in his response to my being coeliac. I thought the woman in the end was just rude, aggressive and inappropriate. It was not necessary to treat a couple dining with such blatant disrespect
A far cry from the quality the previous owners had. Had a group of 10 people and the majority of us left our food unfinished. It was like the kitchen had just popped to iceland for there produce. Some members or our group were also unwell what is never a good thing.
Saturday early dinner. Food is served all day. Great atmosphere, friendly service, parking. But above all the quality of food is outstanding.
