Haven't been here for about 30 years when I used to come with workmates from the Commercial Union office for lunchtime beers. Ah happy days, when lunchtime beer wasn't frowned upon. Anyway, came back today for Sunday lunch with the grown up family. It was really good. Friendly and helpful, taking time to make sure we'd identified the allergens in the food, Sunday roast was excellent - the extra sides of cauliflower cheese were superb. Good beer (Harvey's and Landlord) and prices were such that I didn't feel at all mugged. It's a cosy pub with lots of little rooms and roaring fires. Pleased to have visited again and not quite sure why the Horseshoe next door ish was booked out and the White Lion wasn't.. I'm definitely coming back here! Good job guys!

Came to this lovely, cosy pub a couple of weeks ago for their reasonably priced lunch options. We later received a parking fine as there had been an issue registering our registration number. Went back and Matt didn’t hesitate to cancel our ticket. Great service.

We went to the white lion to celebrate a friends 40th having been before and was lovely but I'm sorry to say that i was absolutely disgusted with the chefs attitude and the way he spoke to the other member of staff and unfortunately me and my friend overheard what he said. We put an order in for food and as soon as he received it the chef came out of the kitchen and said very rudely I've turned everything off and I'm not cooking there food right in front of us. I could understand if it was near the time of the kitchen closing but it was 8 o'clock. He spoke so rudely to the the young man behind the bar who was very apologetic when he had to come over to us and tell us that we have to have a refund as the chef wasn't cooking our food. Appalling behaviour. The bar person was fantastic.

Staff was extremely helpful and kind. Has a nice authentic atmosphere. The quality and portion sizes of the food was really good value for money. Food was delicious. They were very busy but still remember to check in with us when eating to ensure everything was alright with our order. Lots of parking space and it's free.

Visited this lovely pub last Saturday for a family meal and was made to feel very welcome when we arrived. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating to our children. Our waitress Ellie was amazing when dealing with our daughters food allergies and was very knowledgeable about the menu and what she could eat. Will definitely be returning during the xmas holidays.

Always a pleasure at this cosy little pub. We decided to try the food and was pleasantly surprised with the extensive menu, and extremely fair pricing. This extends to the drinks - I was so pleased to see on our receipt that I didn’t pay more than a fiver for a glass of wine! It seems unheard of these days. My main, a steak, was only £15. We both enjoyed drinks, starters and mains and it was less than £35 each. And to top it off, we finished every bite as it was delicious and cooked perfectly!

Had the three course meal for £10.89, food was delicious and staff attentive, polite and very friendly. I have only been in Warlingham for two years and always went to a nearby pub, although the pub concerned has a good reputation they are in danger of pricing themselves out of the market. Will definitely be back! Thanks all

Lovely quaint country pub / inn with lots of little rooms / corners and a large garden patio by the car park. A popular choice in Warlingham Reasonably priced food, good quality, not super big but very tasty. The posh fish & chips with battered sea bass, very original. Personal fave - the Whitby scampi! Friendly service but unfortunately on Friday 15th over 50 minutes to receive our mains...just a bit on the slow side and no real updates. Hopefully just a one-off!
