Had a fun evening until we were harassed by an unpleasant drunk man for half an hour and had to leave.

Having lived in the area for 10 years, decided it was finally time to try out my local pub. Whilst quite dated, I found it to be very clean and well kept with a reasonable selection of lagers on tap, but only one cask. The barman was friendly enough, as were the regulars. The only thing to bear in mind to potential visitors would be the two German Shepherds walking around the pub, although they were very docile and friendly, they may be off-putting to anyone wary of dogs. Will definitely visit more often.

Cosy, relaxed, dog friendly. Great old fashioned bar made of dark wood and mirrors. Range of tap beers was small but well looked after. To be honest, you can tell that it is probably only just getting by, so hasn't the money for the refurbishments I'm sure they would love to do, but that is the way with all old fashioned pubs. I'm glad it is still going and offers the service it does.

Absolutely brilliant pub. Great atmos, dog friendly and the best staff.

Ordered a pint of diet coke, in this pub this is not on tap so you get a can for the price of a pint... Would have been better if I were told before ordering...

Friendly pub. Has a great old bar with, what I believe, is an original Titanic bar mirror feature. Perhaps pub needs a little refurbishment. Otherwise, a good place.

Place isn't too bad tbh. Beer choice is quite good Lager: Amstel, Fosters, Kronenburg, Tiger. Also have Guinness, John Smiths and Strongbow Darkfruit. Place could do with a little tidy up but it's an old pub what do you expect. Local pub really. Not sure if they still server food, no menus around. Bar staff friendly enough. Nothing really to complain about. Has a smell of old pub but doesn't "stink horrendously" like many people saying.

  2. Ruth Manson ★★☆☆☆

This used to be our local so our visit was a nostalgic return. We were a bit disappointed as the place didn't have the same buzz. The tables were sticky and it seemed quite run down. A shame as we had enjoyed it previously. There are not many traditional pubs in this area that are easily accessible by public transport.
