   Beautiful old pub located at the top of locksbottom. Large place with a nice pub feel to the place with a relaxed atmosphere. Large beer garden at the rear. Darts board inside. A couple of big screens which I assume show sports (one outside in the beer garden as well). Food available but didn't stay to eat. Good choice of drinks at slightly higher than average prices. Service was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great place overall.

   A mate and I went to Ye Olde White Lion for lunch after it was recommended on Nextdoor. I was really, really impressed! Very tasty dishes that you could tell had been prepared with care and extremely reasonably priced. Lovely old-school interior with some bright modern touches and a very warm welcome. It was quiet at lunch time. Looking forward to going back one evening when there's some live music.

   Came here for dinner on Saturday evening when The Lower 48 band was playing. I like that the menu is limited to a sensible and varied selection. The service was impeccable (thank you Billy) and the food tasty and plentiful. The ale is also well kept.

   Booked a table for the World Cup, 24 hours later they decided to cancel my booking. Lady who took my booking was polite friendly (we even spoke about the booking being specially for the World Cup) and was told it was fine. Lady who cancelled my booking spoke down at me, had no reasoning for cancelling my table other than “we just don’t do it” and “reserving a table of 7 might pee off the regulars”.

   Fabulous traditional pub. Great head manager by the name of Tim. Again, The menu is traditional but good enough. If you fancy a drink or meal in a nice atmospheric pub, then you can't go wrong with this one.

   Nice place. A four hundred year old pub. The beer is a reasonable price. Saw the menu, it's like a traditional old fashioned style menu, could do with updating for more healthy style food. Lovely atmosphere here with a little entertainment on certain days.
