   Horrible food, they microwaved my gammon steak and have the audacity of denying it, toilets are disgusting, the beer garden has a massive potential but it’s totally run down and filthy. This pub is screaming for someone that can actually knows how to run a pub properly.

   I've been at Swan and Mitre several times now and I keep coming back. The staff are great, the atmosphere and especially the food is stellar and there is always something fun going on. Mind you, I drive in from Rochester for this pub! So it's gotta be great :D

   Popped in on a Friday afternoon for some lunch. Fish Friday so naturally ordered he fish and chips with mushy peas. The fish was amazing! Was very tasty and flaky, great crisp batter. Also had an Americano, was disappointed they didn't have sweetener, only sugar but was a nice cuppa. Tried the jam rolly polly WOW! I would go back for even just a nice coffee and the rolly polly, it is awesome and so glad I tried it! Sat in the back beer garden area as it was a nice day, nice and relaxed. Staff were friendly and attentive. We've been here before, usually with our dog and we won't hesitate to keep frequenting the place when we can. Two main dish lunches were on special for 14.99 add 1.50 for fish and chips....makes it an affordable lunch! Vegetarian/vegan options available. David Bowie held his wedding reception at this pub! Only fix I would make is to have sweeteners for people's tea/coffee and also maybe add sweet potato fries? Although I did enjoy my chips. Visited again 26th of November for a bit of a late lunch. What more to say? Jam rolly Polly remains not to be missed! And the fish in chips is an amazing piece of cod, delicious totally recommend it. Rocking Rudolph is a great seasonal beer, give it a try! Rab, the main server (or at least it's the guy who we seem to always get) is amazing! He will make your visit to the pub memorable and goes out of his way to make you happy. Noticed too while we were there, they are offering a 4 course dinner on Christmas Day for 51.99quid!! Not a bad idea, definitely tempting. Will we be back? Of course!!

   Absolutely amazing pub, staff very helpful and the food was hot and delicious. I used the Groupon voucher for 2 burgers & drinks twice here with no problem. Would totally recommend this pub.

   Such a great pub. Friendly staff and a really good atmosphere. Food is great too. We had a really well cooked roast beef dinner.Highly recommend.

   Can be okay here. But, bar desperately needs an update to go on one side of the venue. It can be chaotic to get to the bar for a drink. I was shocked to have an over 6ft security guard with a tiny ponytail almost knocked me over on a busy night and didn't apologise. I'm only 5ft. Overall, bar interior needs an update and maybe vet security guards.

   Not been to the Swan in a while. When we dropped in for a couple of games there was more staff on than customers in and the place was overheated, it was like a sauna, and forget about opening any windows because they don't open. I know it's been cold, but having all the radiators on full blast especially when as it appears just to suit the staff, seems a little excessive, not to mention what the energy bill must be like! We would have stayed longer had we been able to breath as well as take a shot at the pool table without being impeded by a pillar. Silly place to put a pool table. It was fine where it was before.

   Absolutely love this pub! So welcoming, friendly, and great value for money! You can pop in with a group friends or if you fancy popping in on your own, you don't feel like a weird o sitting there! The Sunday dinners are just the best and great value for money! The Swan & Mitre always celebrate every holiday and go that extra mile with there decorations!! 10/10 pub x
