Really tasty Sunday roast. Staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. Food and drink are very pricey, our meal (no starters or deserts) with a soft drink each came to way over £50 and that was with a 20% off voucher! A nice Sunday treat but probably not worth the money to be honest.

Katie and Daisy were absolutely fantastic, very efficient worked very quietly and friendly, both girls have the right job. This pub should be very happy to have them as they are not boisterous and loud they work with dignity ,well done ladies.

Absolute gem of a place! Love this pub in the heart of Blackheath. It speaks posh!! Amazing service, cheerful staff, and plenty of seating- both insider and outdoor patio area. They also do Babychinos- so its a super hit. They have board games for kids to play- completely taking the edge off the parents. Highly recommend a visit!!

Another incredible meal here, genuinely one of the best roasts in London. Service has gotten much better as well. Get a sharer roast as you’ll want to try all the meat, all perfectly cooked and seasoned. Incredibly good value for money. Wine list expansive and staff friendly.

Very nice pub. Roast dinner was delicious. Well made and a good portion. I have it 4 star as the fish and chips was not the best. Fish was dry and smelt of old oil. Kid’s portions were a good size. Service was very good even though was a very busy Sunday. This place is dog friendly with quite a few people bringing there dogs in with them.

Pretty decent pub lunch, usual M&B menu (menu pictured is Sunday version); prices fairly competitive for the quality. Filling of the chicken, ham hock and leek pie was fairly light on all three of those ingredients but it's always a mistake to have a pie in a pubco pub. The choc ganache dessert, by contrast, was good. Didn't try a roast (which I regret) but they looked good. Table service was quick and attentive. Standard selection of beers on offer alongside a pretty extensive wine list, about which the staff were properly knowledgeable, which is a rarity. Well-priced children's menu, choice a bit limited but portions generous.

Love the makeover however service was not great on this occasion. No napkins - had to ask a member of staff who pointed vaguely in the direction of a drawer/counter which was clearly a staff only area. Also they served other people who arrived after me. Baked Camembert with rosemary/garlic showed no evidence of either. Tasteless. Go for the drinks, maybe not the food. Disappointing.

Nicely decorated pub and good beer selection, but let down by spotty service and food that lacked seasoning and complexity of flavour. Definitely a dog-friendly establishment, with lots of well-behaved locals, even if they don’t know how to run the country!

I love this place. Outside area is absolutely lovely, staff is friendly and lovely, the beer selection is great, music is pleasant, toilets are clean, they are dog friendly so you can always trust you will see friendly pups around, not loud, not rowdy. 100% Favorite pub in the area. I haven’t had food here so can’t speak for the kitchen, but pints are never disappointing.

I've walked past this pub for ever but have always been in a rush and not had the time for a visit. Tonight we had a bit more discretionary time and decided to see if they had availability, which lucky for us we got the last two seater table. Great atmosphere and good food. Sorry forgot to take any pictures of the food, but the open fireplace is awesome on a chilly evening. Booking essential.
