Absolutely love it here. Came in for our family Christmas get together, food was incredible, the staff were brilliant as always. This place just keeps getting better under the new manager. We are back in on Christmas Eve, we can’t wait!

I’ve had some bad Sunday lunches but this place took the biscuit! Before even mentioning the food the “welcome” (cold, frigid and actually really rude) - can you call it that when blatantly ignored?) was a joke. Stood waiting to be seated for our booking for quite a while before the waitress brushed past us several times pottering to and fro from her computer to the bar and back again without even acknowledging us with a nod or “I’ll be with you shortly”, let alone a hello. Massive in need of training, very young looking so probably little experience and didn’t seem to know what she was doing or where the seat is (it was empty for our whole meal apart from one other table of four). Filthy table covered in crumbs, chocolate wrappers and sticky streaks, had to wipe down with wet wipes. Mustn’t have been cleaned from the night before as we got there when it opened at 12pm. Dirty drinking glasses. Food took quite a while to come. Husband’s roast veg were cold and hard. I had fish and chips - you’ll see how bad the presentation was and how few chips were on the plate in the photo. Tepid food overall; burnt fish batter; freezing cold peas. I was offered a replacement but couldn’t be bothered waiting. Did ask for more, less freezing peas though (one mouthful was served initially!) On a trip to the loo there was no toilet paper (at opening time?) and when it was restocked the host (again) brushed past me without an acknowledgment or apology for me having to wait and remarked “it’s in there now” without even looking my way. SO rude. Dining room was freezing and smelled of body odour. YUK. Also the photos on the website must be old and outdated as it looks completely different and has different furniture. What a let down, I had better meals and better service when I had my appendix out a few years ago!

Our uni group ate and drank here and it was absolutely lovely, the food was exquisite, the bar staff were really friendly and seemed really happy. The pub was really clean and had such a warm, cozy vibe with the fire going.

Excellent for intimate meals or family dine-outs. Excellent food, prompt polite service, good selection of ales, wine and spirits. I was impressed.

Food was good and the staff friendly (Elise-sorry if I’ve misremembered your name). The place was clean and comfortable with easy parking. There was a small delay with the food being served at that particular time due to a wake being held in another private room but we were kept informed and apologies were offered. Would recommend The Chelsfield Arms.

Nice place for a quiet lunch (weekday) at Chelsfield with relatively good food and great atmosphere. Will go again and try their other menu.

Never been here before and the circumstances was a funeral wake but the place is nicely decorated and had a good feel about it. The real fire was on but in the part where I was it was chilly. Service was good, good we had was good too so I will try the food in different circumstances next time. Parking seems to be ok too.

It's a nice local pub with warm customers service & friendly staff. Good food menu, tasty food and beers! Here comes to million dollar question, will I go there again? Definitely, yes!

It’s a nice enough pub, staff are friendly. Plenty of parking, great drinks choices. Could do with a bag hook in ladies toilets. Food feels overpriced. Ordered the roast; hugely disappointing. Measly piece of meat and boiled skin on potatoes that maybe touched an oven shelf for maybe a couple of minutes but certainly aren’t the roast potatoes one would expect with a Sunday lunch. Check the pictures, you can’t pass those off as roast spuds. Veg was lovely; red cabbage especially. Great gravy consistency but tasteless. Sides were average at best. Cracking playlist.

Great, lovely place with reasonable prices (mains around 12-15£; kids meals for 5.5£. Yesterday we visited with the kids after their refurbishment. 6pm still quiet (we were the only people dining). Food served quick and all tasted great. Ordered 2 bar snack croquet and pork belly and the pork was just amazing. Wife had the fish and chips and the taste was lovely, not oily batter served with skin on fries Kids had burgers and they both enjoyed it (they mentioned that could me more fries) and it was substantial Myself had the burger (as the Thai curry wasn't on the menu anymore) and the meat was juicy, 2 patties, bacon and cheese. Was nice.. Only 2 concern that I would like to share: - I understand and happy that the establishment is pets friendly but would have been great if the dog on site sit / rest somewhere else than the restaurant entrance. My daughter is afraid of dogs and the owner of it was giving us an unpleasant look when asked to hold on to the dog. - from your snack the croquet is very pricey (£5) for 2 pieces compared with other options for the same price (however the dip was amazing according to my wifey) All in all its good to have this pub nearby, will definitely try their Sunday roast.
