Went for Sunday lunch with good friends. Table booked in the restaurant area which was very cold and no heating on. Staff allowed us to move tables. Bench seat we moved to was quite tatty and in need of repair. Ordered lamb for our Sunday lunch and was bitterly disappointed with the quality of the meat. Very tough, undercooked and chewy. Staff very apologetic and wrote off the cost of one of our two meals. Cannot fault the front of house staff. Rest of meal was fine. Just needs a new lamb supplier &/or better chef. May be worth another try to see if this was just a blip.

What a lovely pub. Extremely friendly staff, ale and Guinness imbibed and top notch. This will become a regular haunt. Very welcoming atmosphere. Food looked good, but was only there for a quick drink.

Finished my walk in Farnborough Village and really glad I stumbled upon this traditional public house. Professional & friendly bar staff. Clean interior. Real ale was kept in excellent condition. Competitive prices. Would definitely visit again.

Our Sunday walk and photography ended abruptly with loud thunder as we walked through St Giles churchyard. So we dashed to the pub expecting to only get drinks and crisps. I haven't been in the change of horses for a very long time and didn't know they do Sunday lunch! So having lunch was a lovely surprise, a great atmosphere in the pub and fantastic service. I had the fish goujon baguette - very fresh and delicious crispy fish. My daughter really enjoyed a large chicken Caesar salad. Will try to find out what the food service times are and come back.

This was the first pub, as an individual, I went to in 1981. I believe it's been through a few managers since then. It's a lovely pub inside, full of character and has a decent garden, for those wishing to be outside. It also has a function room you can hire. I have been back several times on the last year. The staff are generally very polite but they could do with a uniform or code of dress, as some of the women dress as though they are working at Kings Cross, if you get what I mean? The food can be hit and miss also. I've had a fabulous meal there and a not so good meal. Maybe there were different chefs on. It is worth a visit, though, and definitely worth supporting.

We were a coach full of football supporters ( well behaved ones)that stopped at this pub (pre arranged). Not our usual routine but we all said we must stop here again. They were welcoming, food was lush, a good variety and competitively priced. Good range of beers and spirits. Highly recommend.

Just popped in here for the first time having been recommended by a couple of friends. Had a swift half as we happened to be passing through Farnborough Village. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Got talking to a couple of locals who were more regulars, very pleasant atmosphere, will definitely be re-visiting.

We had booked the pub for a wake after a service at the nearby church. The staff were excellent and very attentive to our guests. Food provided was good and we were made to feel most welcome. _______________________________ Back again at The Change of Horses after All Souls Service at St. Giles' Church. Again, great service, efficient friendly staff. Food from the menu is great, right amount of choices. We ordered 2 sharing platters at £11.49 each. We would have posted photos of our order but unfortunately we immediately tucked in and ate the lot before realising it. Recommended for a visit for a drink or food. The decor is homely, the background music, stays as background by not being overly loud. Recommended.
